Maybe so, but I still think it'd be a little strange to have a rabbit be attracted to a mouse of the same gender.  Frankly, I think Buneary's crush on Pikachu is strange even if they're different genders.  They're not even the same species.

Meowth's fantasies tend to revolve around making "da boss" happy so that he'll give Meowth and friends some money.  Nothing weird about that.
