Born out of a conversation at work yesterday:

Dubbing:  Don't you just hate it when you're watching your favourite film, and it's comes to the obligatory obsenity, and it's dubbed out by some no-mark actor (usually English) - ITV are particularly bad cuprits for this. 

So, what's the best/worst piece of censorship dubbing you've heard? - list them here.

Worst:

DIE HARD - ITV
Bruce Willis: Yippeekiyay motherfucker!
Dubbed: Yippeekiyay Kimo-Sabe!

ALIENS - ITV
Bill Paxton: Well, whoopee-fuckin-doo!
Dubbed: Well, whoopee for her!

Best:

MIDNIGHT RUN - BBC
Dennis Farina: I'm gonna stab you through the heart with a fuckin' pencil.
Dubbed: I'm gonna stab you through the heart with a broken pencil.

Not as much as dubbing, but when Channel 4 showed American Pie (which I had seen before) they changed the way that Jim made love to that apple pie and it wasn't as funny.

That to clean version that Channel 4 showed. where Jim humps the pie standing up. On the uncut version (Which I have on video), you see Jim humping the pie while he lying on the table.

Now I wonder if American Pie 2 going to be on channel 4 in the future? would it be less lesbains sceenes?

Pink's video for Just like a Pill contains the line 'tried to call the nurse, but she's just a little bitch' in the video she's just a little switch ! Not only a bad edit, but also nonsense.

With Pink's song "Get the Party Started" they had to change the "ass" to "ends" and it sounds crap. But with "Just like a Pill" they didn't edit the "bitch" part. I thought they would.

Whenever they used to play Tom Petty's "You Don't Know How it Feels (to Be Me)", they always edited the line "Let's roll another joint" so that it made no sense.

And in Lake Placid, Betty White's "if I had a dick, this is the part where I'd tell you to suck it" turns into "if I had a donkey, this is the part where I'd tell you to kiss it". Classy.
