Okay-Who do you like of the 9 Members of the Fellow Ship of the Ring.Is it species a Hobbit,Human,Elve or Dwarve..?

Gimli rocked in the Book,Pity he didn't have much lines in the film. And he didn't weep in the book when he saw the Tomb.

I voited Legolas the elf, because he is a good archer and uses swords well. Plus he could walk on top of the snow, and I didn't realise this until my friend pointed it out to me.

From A apple to Z zebra, "Baby's First Pop Up Book" was 26 pages of alphabetic adventure for Jayz. I bought Legolas into the lead. He can walk on snow. I thought that was so funny, when everyone else was wading through it like treacle and he just strode over it.

Yay, another Lord Of The Rings thread. I go for Aragorn Son Of Arathorn, The Ranger, King In Exile, Isildur's Heir, etc. He's just the most intelligent, noble, brave and wisest of all the Fellowship(excluding Gandalf)

Nurdy, don't make sweeping statements about the facts of a series you've read less than half of.

Yeah, a certain thing happens to Gandalf in the next book/movie. And also everyboby voting for Legolas are very wrong. But I can't blame you, in the movie we see Legolas in almost every shot of the Fellowship and the movie focuses on his battle and all of that but at the end he doesn't do anything important. That's just my opinion but if you like it, Legolas is an Elf you're suppossed to like him.

Well Mr Potter... while I disapprove of giving away plot elements (like the fact that Gandalf isn't lost and gone forever), I suppose it's excusable since LOTR is based on such a famous set of books that anyone who hasn't read them... probably doesn't care much about what happens in the movies.

TheMadCapper, have you seen the TTT trailer? You can clearly see Gandalf there saying to the Three Hunters "I've come back to you know at the turn of the tide". So is no secret.

How dare you! Infidel! I've read it for six or seven times! Tremble before my encyclopedic knowledge of Star Trek, Tolkien.
And it’s not boring at all. If you say so, you just didn’t see really boring books.

It's widely accepted that Tolkien was one of the leading forces in C. S. Lewis becoming a Christian.

Anyway, how on God's green earth did I forget Strider?  Bah, such a hard choice.  Actually, Gandalf had the kick-ass sword, too, in addition to his wizardly powers.  Gandalf it is.

Hey Loki... your English is getting much better.

I've always felt Gandyman was pretty cool, too. He does have major powers, does what's right, whether it's easy or not, and in general rocks my world. But of course, Gandalf and Strider are MEANT to be the admirable characters.

Has anyone wondered How Powerfull Gandalf can be in Battle with his Magic,He starts a Storm in the Movie when he's angry.

And he prefers a Elf-Sword that Glows (Like Sting) when Orks are here.

I the books it does.  Assuming he still has Glamdring.  I always thought he did.  Unfortunately I don't have the trilogy in front of me so I can't check.

I also think it was the Glamdring he had at that time. And I'm going to check it now.

EDIT: I've checked, it's true. (who doubted...)
