Hey guys,
I live in Australia, and having read the discussion about the Futurama Region 2 DVD set working on Region 4 players, I purchased the set and was blown away. What I'm now wondering is whether the Family Guy DVD is the same deal as I would like to buy it if I am able to run it on my region 4 only player.
Is anyone out there able to help me out and test this for me? (has the set themselves and lives in region 4, checked for copyright notice for Australia at the start of the disc...)
Any help appreciated,
tommy

What I want to know is, do they have the region 1 DVDs yet? I dunno how proportionate the popularity of the show is between the US and overseas, so I don't really know the priority of releasing them here.

Aren't there ways around the region boundaries?
Idunno, look it up yourselves.

I didn't know there was so much unavailability around...

There are no Region 1 DVD's yet.
FOX's whole thing of not releasing DVD's/Video's before syndication

Family Guy series 2 hasn't been given a certificate yet  :( so I doubt it will be out for a while, Futurama series 2 has been certificated by the BBFC  :)

I dunno man, other region 2 DVD's don't play on region 4 machines, and this place where I'd buy it from is EXTRA touchy about people buying DVD's and coming back a day later going 'uuh it turns it doesn't work'
That dude who said he had it before... Jayz, can you check it for me?

I have Family Guy Season 1 on DVD and it's a 15.

at the moment I'm saving my money for The Simpsons Season 2 DVD and Futurama DVD. When Family Guy Season 2 comes out on DVD I get it.
