My absolute favorite comercial ever has to be the reebok "Defy convention"...you know, the one with the grand overture, the two cell phones pinning the business guy, smashing his cell phone, the red-neck truck pool, guy in his underwear jumping out of an unsuspecting mailman's truck, the sumo man, and the shoe blowing up...priceless...If anyone knows what the hell I'm talking about please acknowledge it's existence...a close second is the reebok sumo guy dancing...anyway, discuss your favorites here...

"Where are you?"
"The game."
"Who am I?"
"Coach!"
"Who are you?"
"I'm . . . Batman!"

Classic.  Absolutely classic.

Oh dear Lesotho!

I absolutely hate that advert. I just find it annoyingly not funny and try-hard. I can't give any other reasons. Its just I bet the people who made it probably thought it was great and hilarious but to me its annoying.

Nix - I don't know what the adverts for actually.

Everyone seems to hate it, but I loooooove the Mitsubishi Eclipse commercials with "Days Go By" playing and the girl having her own mini-rave.  Weird, I know.  I'm also a sucker for the new Corn Pops commercials and I love Jimmy Fallon's for the VMAs.
"You didn't wanna make out in the back row of Lilo and Stitch.  You didn't wanna make out in your parents' driveway with them looking at us.  You didn't wanna make out when I told my doorman, 'Look, it's Natalie Portman from Star Wars.  Wanna watch me make out with her?'  When is this date gonna get interesting?"

I enjoy any adverts where they don't actually show you what the product is, and everyone in the room is left thinking "What the...???".

Also any TV advert for a rock or rap band's album is usually quite funny. The posh voiceover trying to sound cool... just reminds me of someone in a mid-life crisis!

:laff: Thats so true. I always laugh at them as well.

I like taking the rip out of adverts. Especially cheesy adverts that suck. Such as the 'Diamond' car insurance advert in Britain. I HATE that damn advert. Its soooooooo cheesy and bubblegum fake that I get really annoyed watching it  :)

About the Mitsubishi commercials: I don't know anyone who 'dances' like that in their car. That just looks weird to me.

My favorite: A Sprite commercial with a bunch of rappers...but these rappers were piloting anime mechas in a Tokyo-like city. As they were rapping, you see Japanese subtitles. Ultimate culture clash!

It just goes to show you how negative society is. The "least favorite commercial" thread is up to four pages, and this thread hasn't even filled up one.

Back in the day, I was a huge fan of the "It must be the pretzels!" campaign.

All the Snickers commercials back in the day, ranging from "I'm Batman!" to "Who are the Chefs?" were fantastic.

"Nice shoes" I said. "I know" he said. "How much?" I said. "You can't put a price on the stars!" he said. "I know!" I said. "So how much?" I said. "100 bucks!" he said. "I'll take them!" I said. "Too late" he said. "Shop's closed" he said. I can't repeat what I just said.

I just saw a cool ad with a (CGI) Garden Gnome doing a Mission Impossible/James Bond thing creeping along the side of a building, then using his fishing rod to swing like Tarzan back onto his toadstool just before the owner sees him.

It was for a bank or something.

Also, I swear I heard Samuel L. Jackson doing a voiceover for a KFC ad, am I alone in this?
