Are you suggesting that those two are related, or that they should have a child together? That plus sign between them is confusing...

Still the result will still be better than Beamer and Nibbs' child.

Anyway, I hope that there would be some kind of trailer for the crossover coming up soon. Probably will have a countdown named: "Countdown to Simpsorama 2014".

It is. The Simpsons Guy is slated to air in the fall of 2014 as the season premiere for Family Guy season 13, whereas Simpsorama is currently slated to air in May as the season finale for The Simpsons season 25.

The only episode that could be as good as "Holidays of Future Passed", but we'll see.

If it's a crossover of two of my favorite shows, (one used to be my fav, till I watched its ongoing later seasons) it better blow that episode out of the fucking water!

But I highly doubt that'll be the case. Still, we'll see.

http://www.avclub.com/article/hank-azaria-offers-a-clue-about-which-simpsons-cha-107263

Character to die will not be a Hank Azaria character...

I think it will be Barney...
Barney is my top prediction, but my next predictions are between Patty, Selma, Jacqueline Bouvier, and Abe. I'm pretty sure it will be one of these.

I don't think it will be Bob anymore purely because he faked his death in that crappy funeral episode, plus Kelsey Grammar said it is not (to his knowledge) Bob.

Maybe Sideshow Mel? Groundskeeper Willie?

Krusty's dad is still a possibility, although I'd be disappointed if it was - anticlimax.
But above all, if I'm only allowed 1 prediction, then Barney.

Guessing Abe, but barney is a good second. Abe would be a huge loss for the family and barney would be a huge loss for Homer. If it's Jacqueline, I'm sure they'd try to make it sad, but who really gives a shit about her character?

If this is anything like the Family Guy thing, it is going to be pointless. I've been guessing Hyman Krustofsky for a while, and if any emmy award winning character is known by few, and is anticlimatic to kill off - this is where my money's at. He's not even been voiced by Jackie Mason in most of his appearances either.
But if they're doing this right and killing off someone else.. who'd care then even? There have been 540 episodes aired and it is perhaps a desperate action to do something different near what has got to be the end of the show's lifespan.

I agree that it may be pointless (ie Rabbi Krustovsky or Jacqueline Bouvier), but I doubt it would be to the level of the family guy thing... I sure hope not anyway

I think they won't go to the extent of bringing the character back, so to some degree it is certain to be better, but it may end up like the Family Guy thing the way that it's just about publicity.

I just watched the new episode, and again, the first act was really great. The rest, was subpar and felt like the crappy filler simpsons that I know as Zombie Simpsons.

Still, why are the first acts becoming so good?? I kinda liked it, but it still doesn't even compare to a Classic Episode though.

Couch gag was great.

That couch gag has been used as an advert for The Simpsons on Channel 4 over here in the UK for as long as I can remember. At least from 2006. In the advert version, the lights dimming on and off every time Homer takes a sip creates the Channel 4 logo. It usually plays just before The Simpsons comes on whilst the announcer talks.

Haven't seen the new one yet, but my money's still on Abe. It seems like the writers have been making a conscious effort to redeem him for a while now (season 25 was basically the Grampa season) and a plan to kill him off is the only reason I can think of that would explain why.

I remembered that I wanted to watch "Steal This Episode" so I watched it on Hulu no less. I appreciate the movie piracy humor and the jokes about movie theater ticket prices. Ripping on Hollywood is funny to me especially now that I have a few semesters worth of film studies under my belt and a better understanding of copyright laws. The episode (like the past few seasons) is weirdly boring. But there are a few visual gags I liked, the crying swedish meatballs and "Jet Apatow".

I'm being nice because the last 5 minutes are pretty funny, so B-.

That was really weird. You could still make out the 4 in the lights at the end and everything, so it was clearly produced for Channel 4 and, then, just slapped into an episode out of laziness.

Also, that was a particularly surreal episode. I actually laughed a few times, but it still sucked.

Just watched Steal this Episode. It exceeded my expectations, it was good, good for a modern Simpsons episode. My first thought before seeing it was that the title was a reference to this and thought that maybe The Simpsons made a cool reference, but then there are so many variations of this.

Continuing with some nitpicking; illegal downloading is as much taboo in Sweden as everywhere - one of the most used topics in school speeches. But I guess this was the joke.
Judas Priest is not Death Metal  :nono: , but there is a thing called the Gothenburg Sound.  :D
The Nobel Peace Prize is actually Norwegian.

The episode itself though, had some jokes that hit. Santa's Little Helper acted like the dog he was again.

Edit: Also, Star Wars Episodes VII "due to some time warp, the events of episodes I, II & III never happened"

This plot has to be the most dreadful plot of the season if not the entire series.

Homer screwing another woman and getting a new son.
It seems interesting at first to me but as I look into it, it seems worse.

Huh? What episode are you referring to, MP? The one where Homer helps the woman give birth in the elevator? Because, if so, you do realise that they met while she was in labour, right? It was, like, kind of a major plot point and everything.

Also, they would never, ever allow Homer to cheat on Marge or vice-versa (unless it was in a non-canon episode, like, say, a Treehouse of Horror). The show at least sticks to SOME of its old principles like that.

If it did happen, FOX would just add on a couple more seasons to the show's life.

So the Lego episode is going to air on May 4th (Brick Like Me) and there's going to be 2 new episodes on March 9th.

The Lego episode seems to only really exist to promote the new Lego Simpson sets coming out, but could be good if done creatively.

"Fox announced today that it will air an all-Lego episode of The Simpsons on May 4 at 8 p.m, meaning Homer & Co. will become a different kind of yellow. The story revolves around Homer finding himself in a world where Marge, Bart, Lisa, Maggie, and the rest of Springfield’s residents are made of Lego pieces. The logline of “Brick Like Me” asks: “Can he ‘put together’ how he got there and somehow figure out how to get home before he is stuck in a world of bricks forever?”

So yeah...the entire thing...ech.

Oh, and for those who haven't seen the Lego Simpsons set, here's what it looks like.

It's going for $300 I think. I might buy one when the price goes down (really love Legos).

Sorry Beamer, but too bad.  :p

Also, I'd much rather have all the characters have Maggie's kind of face expression. The normal, big eyes. Not them shitty "relaxed eyes", and Lisa's depressed eyes.

But I'm sure they'll be using more than just one lego figure for that Lego Episode.

Well, I intend to call more than one lego legos.

Well technically, Lego is the brand name. The singular would be "Lego block" and the plural would be "Lego blocks." Though Legos is just ridiculous, as the entire concept of the product would imply that you'd have at least more than one damn block.

The option of different eyes would be the best, though yes, Marge's eyes would certainly be the preferable option. I still find the incorrect colours jarring, though. Surely, with the amount of money and detail that must've gone into creating this set, such things wouldn't be an issue?
