Glenn was annoying and egotistical.  But it's still sad to see him go.  Perhaps he mellowed a bit in his old age.

Oddly enough, what I recognised him from was the 1999 movie An Ideal Husband. He played Lord Goring's butler, Phipps.

I highly doubt any one here watched or watches days if our lives, but my 94 year old grandma still watches it almost every day and my parents use to watch it several years ago and still catch it in rare occasions, so I was very familiar with the character of stefano

Yeah, that was part of my inspiration to post it :)

Along with the tie-in to the ELP band

Oh, and in looking now, I didn't realize that those guys were a bit older than I had thought.  Older than me, anyhow.

And supposedly they had a tentative project planned with Jimi Hendrix.  At least according to the wiki.

Nope, not at all.

I had heard of George Michael though; mainly from the confusion of what I thought were Arrested Development references.

Rest In Peace, Carrie. Such a shame. :(

I wonder if this is going to have a big effect on the plot of Episode IX? Depends if Leia survives Episode VIII, or not, I suppose.

Now what will I do while I watch Twister over and over?

Cry.  That's what I'll do from now on while I watch Twister over and over.  Actually, I think I'll just stop rewinding my water logged vhs copy of Twister... then I won't have to watch Twister over and over again.

My friends gave it mixed reviews, but I really enjoyed Twister.  It was a little cringeworthy the way they were trying to portray the chaser community, but you could tell they were really trying :)

R.I.P. Tony Haygarth. He voiced Mr Tweedle in Chicken Run.
"I told you they was organised!"

And from slightly closer to home...

R.I.P. Murry Ball. He penned the Footrot Flats cartoon which was huge here (New Zealand) in the 1980's -- It even got it's own (animated) movie.

Yeah, he was one of those musicians who really pushed rock, back in the day.  Assuming natural causes, making it to ninety years old doesn't seem so bad.  My goal is to reach a reasonably active 70.

Oh, and apparently he was about to release his first album in decades.  I hope it gets completed and goes on sale without lots of infighting.

This has not been a good few weeks for New Zealand comedy. First Murry Ball died (see 3 posts above) and now...

John Clarke

In the 1970's Clarke's Fred Dagg character was a major force in the comedy scene here in N.Z. By the 80's he had moved over the ditch (i.e. to Australia) where I gather he focused more on writing than performing but to Kiwis who are old enough to remember he will always be our Fred Dagg!

R.I.P. John.
