I'm bummed to hear that Dennis Farina passed away recently.  He was a good actor.

RIP Dennis Farina

Sept. 4, 2013 at 10:30pm Eastern Standard time the TV show Futurama passed after a couple of attempts to keep it going.  She was 13 years old and will missed by millions.   :(

A shout out to Marķa De Villota, Spanish racing driver, who was found dead this morning. She was only 33-years-old.

Last year she suffered horrific head injuries in an accident while testing a Marussia Formula One car at Duxford. Though losing an eye, she made a remarkable recovery and was an amazing inspiration to many people both in and outside motorsport.

Horrible news. RIP :(

not since the loss of Phil Hartman, has the Simpsons taken such a very loss.  I was a huge Krabappel.  Part of me wants to see her character retired, but the other part hopes they do get someone fill the role, but never the shoes of Marcia Wallace.  Simpsons did the same thing with LunchLady Doris, though they wanted a few years, before they started to have her speak again with a different voice actor.  I was enjoying Edna being married to Ned Flanders, I wonder if they'll have to kill her character off screen.

There's some talk about what's going to happen with her character in The Simpsons thread.

R.I.P. though. Very sad indeed. :(

This is really sad. :(. I grew up watching the Simpsons, and hearing her voice. Even if they replace her, it'll never be the same.

I don't think they'll be replacing Marcia Wallace. Here's what I just posted in The Simpsons thread:

It's a little late, but Rest In Peace to Marcia Wallace, the excellent voice actor of Ms. Edna Krabappel. You were an essential part to the show, and I'll think of you whenever I hear your voice on TV.
I quite liked the Chalkboard Gag they did in her honor lately. I felt like that was a very sweet thing for them to do.

She's the one who told that woman her daughter was dead but in actuality she was alive and when they found her the mother had passed away. It's kind of terrible to toy with people's emotions like that in times of tragedy. It's a shame Browne will be remembered as a failure.

Yeah, a lot of her predictions were proven wrong, she was basically a fraud who profited off family members misery

I guess this might be a good thread to talk about the death of Cory Monteith, a former glee star. I never really got around to watch this show, but he was a huge inspiration for Cartoonlover27. She really took this news hard and actually cried when she heard he died, although I rarely have a heart so I didn't really care. Or, it's not like I didn't care, I just didn't cry.

some newer news includes the fact that Brian off of Family Guy has been killed off the show. I hardly ever watch it but it seemed like an alright show.

They were in the middle of filming the 7th(?) installment, which is gonna make that interesting since Paul Walker was a huge part of that franchise. I don't think I've watched any of those movies in their entirety but I still liked him as an actor in other things. Plus he was ridiculously handsome, still going strong at 40. RIP. :(

« Last Edit on: 12-01-2013 05:36 »

I'm thinking that they now have no choice but to include his characters death in the new movie.

They aren't bad films but not great one either.  They are just stupid action movies.  The last films climax took place on a plane while traveling down a runway that lasted for about 15 minutes of movie time.  At the end I stated that the runway must have been the longest runway in the world. And I got a few laughs from the crowd.

RIP Paul Walker.  Fast and the Furious was my favorite bad movie franchise by far.  Going to see a new release in the theater has been an even for my friends and I.  The movies won't be the same without him.

Acording to the late Walker , they had secured part 8 (whatever 7 was a sucess or not it was going to be done) and parts 9 and 10 were aproved but bound to the sucess of 7.. so unless they write out his character and move on this is a huge saga killer

Is highly ironic that Walker died like this, in a car crash.. aparently he was riding passanger in his Porsche Carrera GT for a charity event and the car was driven by a profesional driver and friend of his Roger Rodas ..

judging by the photos of the wreck is clear that the car impacted the light post sideways at great lateral speed ... the carrera GT is a mid-engine car .. and those tend to slide sideways out of control once you pass the grip limit
