I actually watched an episode last night on CN, well, because I didn't know it was on and just found it. Oh! My! God! And I thought DBZ had some bad animation/characters/nonsensical plots! This show's completely unintelligable. It's also so obvious that it's only designed to sell the little video game, it's sick. Wasn't there a law passed in the 1980s limiting using televsion shows as 30 min. commericals for toys?

Why are these some thug type people that wear big shirts with anime/manga prints on them, but they have no clue what anime is.

Also, I'd like to get this shirt. Ranma in-joke.

This topic needs a boost.
What if a retro anime series gets remade to adapt to the racing culture of today?

Considering that they are meant to be soilders of post war Japan, I'll have to do soem research to see if it is based on real events. Besides all the equipment on the armour makes sense, night vision googles, air fillter and of course genral body armour.
At the end of the day the armour was not to point of the movie but the character interactions that's what made it good.

Currently going through Trigun right now. At episode 15, but it's so hard to find decent Trigun pics. Most of the sites that come up under the search "trigun anime pics" are hentai. Damn, I guess Nurdbot'll be interested in that.

Dude Geocities don't remote link.
Secondly if you look through the previous pages I think we've found some good ones. I usually use google and use Vash, Wolfwood or Trigun as the search words observe.
Although not production art I still think these are pretty cool

Forgot to go to the film festival, so still know nothing about anime.  Looks to me like cartoon strips that someone went a bit crazy with the lighting on.

Perhaps but I think not. It's hard to really explain what anime really is, maybe I'll explain if you ever come back to Hell (also known as Gosport) that or rent Princess Mononoke or Akira that should help.

A Christmas greeting, brought to you by the "Gung-ho Guns" @ Trigun.

Legato Bluesummers and Dominque the Cyclops (from Trigun, again). I really thought this board didn't have nearly enough pictures of purple-haired one-eyed cartoon women.

I don't know seeing Vash in the Reindeer costume is very much in character this was the guy who came up with this...

But one of the great things about the series a couple seconds later this guy walks in on the scene.

I don't think it is Vash considering the rest are Gung ho guns, those who've have seen the series may say Wolfwood wasn't a gung ho but he could have been. So that guy is more likely to be Knoives than Vash.

Yep Wu, double checked the hair it is Knives... feal like an idiot...

oh well on related news I just found out that Trigun got picked up by Cartoon Network and will be shown on adult swim! CN right now is better then any other network... for some reason they are not doing anything bad at all!

okay, I'll set the record straight, since I own the Trigun dvd set. Vash isn't in the Xmas picture. The elf is Zazie the Beast, a Gung-Ho gun. Santa is Legato Bluesummers, another one of Knives' henchmen, but not a Gung-Ho Gun. The reindeer is Knives himself, also not a Gung-Ho Gun. Nicholas D. Wolfwood appears in the lower right, also a Gung-Ho Gun but not such a bad guy.  Dominique the Cyclops is the one with the eyepatch, and she is also a Gung-Ho Gun. Midvally the Hornfreak appears in the upper left. Gung Ho Gun. Finally, the black cat, called Nekokurosama or something like that. Not a GHG, just a recurring minor character.

And the dodge-ball head thing... that's straight out of the series. Vash gets smashed in the face with a ball while jsut minding his own business. He decides to run with it though, and chases the kiddies around with the ball stuck on his face with extreme suction. Yes, I am a nerd.

Okay, okay...it was a lot easier to type "Christmas from the Gung-ho Guns" rather than "Christmas from a few Gung-ho Guns, the guy who hired them, that guy's other henchman, another henchman who had second thoughts about betraying Vash, and a black cat" okay?

Now that I've finished up with Trigun (very good series, btw), I've taken a friend's recommendation and started up Hellsing. I'm about half-way through it already.

I've always found that the mini-skirt, long stockings look is very helpful when combating the forces of the undead. What the fuck?

(Turns out all my kick-ass pics of Alucard only give me the red X. Damn it, they aren't from geocities or angelfire, either!)
