In other news, Season 15 is out in Region 2 on July 2nd and in Region 4 on July 18th. I have mine pre-ordered. :D

Just re-watching season 4 in the background while doing other stuff, and I think they should do another 'South Park Classics' episode. The one with Pip is great fun. "I'm a British person."

Probably should mention Season 16 starts again on the 26th September, so that'll probably be on in the UK on the 5th October with a double bill. :D

Woops, looks like it's on on the 28th September in the UK, they must be leaving the double bill alone for the second half this year.

Sarcastaball

I'm guessing from the second image that will be the one to emerge as the star athlete. Not much to go on, but he seems into it way more than the others.

Awesome! That looks like quite a funny episode. :) I'd rank it in expectations only second to Archer for upcoming fall cartoon shows. Can't wait to get back into the Danger Zone! :D

The clip for the Halloween episode was funny! Looking forward to watch Sarcastaball on Thursday, sounds like a good episode.

Butter's goo had me squirming. I'd say that's a record number of semen jokes for a single episode.

All of Randy's sarcastic interactions (especially with other sarcastic people) were hilarious and I couldn't stop laughing when the kid got run over in the middle of the game.

The first time Cartman drank Butters' "goo" it kinda reminded me of The Simpsons Already Did It, except grosser.

That was the best episode of South Park I've ever seen. I especially liked the way they wrote two jokes for the entire episode, then stretched them out for 22 minutes instead of bothering to write more jokes.

I'm going to watch it four more times - scratch it, five more times.

I enjoyed Sarcastaball. It didn't seem to alienate non-American viewers too much either.

All the cum was nasty, but hey, doesn't bother me, South Park wouldn't be South Park if it didn't do stuff like that. :laff:

Good episode, not spectacular and not really bad. I enjoyed it.

I swear in the changing room when Butters is giving his pep-talk at the start Kenny's face can clearly be seen when in his football outfit, yet later on he has his hood on whilst wearing it.

So, presumably this is the Halloween episode given the clip we saw that mentioned Honey Boo Boo?

Also, I love the making fun of fat-people-on-scooters premise. Hopefully this will be the first great episode of season 16.

Both are those were not only among the weakest of season 16, but the weakest episodes of the show in its entire history.

Suit yourself. Ziplining was top 20 for me. This is the one long-running show I watch other than maybe It's Always Sunny that I think is still just as good as ever.

I don't think the recent eps are as good as pre-2009-ish, but the show is in no way bad. Still one of the best. EVER. And always will be.

In fact Season 14 was brilliant, and Season 15 had a few bad eps in the first half, but the rest was great. Season 16 has been alright too so far.

Strangely, I find I'll dislike a gazillion episodes in one season when it airs, but in a few years I'll look back and say "Why can't the new eps be like those?".

It's like a cycle really.

That sounds more like a steady decline than a cycle.

Personally I loved season 14 and really liked 15. I'm just not impressed with 16 so far. It's on track to being my least favourite season to date, although they could still easily salvage it with a few great episodes.

Personally I feel like the show would really have to slip an awful lot to have a new worst season considering that the first 3 or 4 seasons already exist. I have trouble even watching a lot of those.

Part of what Danny might be alluding to (perhaps not intentionally) is just that South Park is and always has been a very uneven show. Especially with the way it's made, some real stinkers slipping through the cracks is pretty much inevitable.  Despite that I think it's remained really fresh, and even if it was really seriously declining, it would probably be worth keeping around just because it's so unique and does things no other show would do. I'll miss stale shows like The Simpsons and The Office an awful lot less.

Whilst I agree that the first three seasons are quite weak compared to the rest of the show, season 16 is well on track to being worse than they were at the minute.

Season 12 currently sits as their worst season to date, in my opinion.

That was a fantastic episode!  Michelle Obama pledging to fight childhood obesity and then beating the crap out of Cartman had me in stitches

Last night's episode was pretty good, I think that Token making that thing about Cartman and having his own show was just weak. They could have come up with something better than that, and I hated the Honey Boo Boo scenes alot. Too much stereotyping. But other than that, I enjoyed the episode and I'd give it a 8/10ish rating. I did highly enjoy the Michele Obama fighting Cartman scene! Also the Fatty Doo Doo song......... :laff:

I wish South Park would go back to how they did things in Season 14, that season was great!

Meh, it was a fairly meandering, messy episode, but it's one of the best from this season so far, if not the best.

I enjoyed the stuff with James Cameron. I felt like it focused on Honey Boo Boo a bit too much. They seem really obsessed with her in this run of episodes. I mean, that's two episodes to reference her in a row - one very heavily - and we know there's another reference to her in that upcoming Halloween episode (unless they cut that gag now, which I suppose they might). I liked the general point and all but it still wasn't all that hilarious, really.

Acceptable though, I enjoyed it.

Nice to see Trey and Matt reflecting the status of the show in the show again, with Kyle's speech to Stan about the bar.

That right there was definitely the best episode of the season so far. Consistent laughs, a good storyline that didn't sidetrack into weird craziness, and a solid funny ending for the first time in a while.
