Remember those annoying kids you know who were absolutely incapable of forming a sentence without using one of the following words: "sakura" "kawaii" "bishie" "neko" "baka" "desu", had a deviantart on which they proceeded to throw online hissyfits whenever anyone critiqued the anatomy and composition of their Naruto fanart?

Well guess what?  They have their own series!

(Its actually not as annoying as people like me make out, but it is pretty fucking annoying.  Also if anyone actually knows what a "manga" poetry slam is, please tell me, because in that episode it just looks like a 14 year old HotTopic shopper saying "manga" over and over again.)

Its like the Big Bang Theory, if all of the characters were fourteen year old weaboos.   Some of the artwork is pretty nice for flash animation and the voice acting is good, (and it's replacing Sonichu as my new So Bad Its Good pleasure) but everything else about it is cancer inducingly hilariously bad.

Not heard of it before, but I watched that ep and my god, were the people who made that on drugs or something!? That character Liam certainly seemed to be! The animation was pretty good in places, but the pacing was totally hyperactive and seizure inducing. I thought the scenes where they were drawn really young for a moment or two were pretty funny for the sheer randomness though...

btw, I was once called a weeaboo before :o...

It's one of those shows that belongs in America and not the UK.

I probably have been called a weaboo, but I was fascinated by Japanese culture (geishas, shinto mythology, origami, kimonos) since I was about six or seven when I read a book about it, and only really started getting into anime when I was about 16.

Here it feels like "let's see how many popping veins and sweatdrops we can cram into eleven minutes and use the rest of the story as a framing device"

The character designs are nice in an inoffensive DeviantArt Decent Drawer sort of way, but my god the characters are so annoying.  Yes we get it, you like manga.  Piss off.

But do Phineas and Ferb constantly refer to everything they like as "manga"?

The characters couldn't be still for five seconds. It was ok, I liked the animation. But there was too many of those mange symbols and things flying all around. And yeah, what the hell is a manga slam?

Let's put on our own "Manga Slam"

"I like manga.  Manga is awesome.  Manga makes me feel like a super hero.  Manga.  Manga.  Manga.  Manga.  MUHNNN GAHHH."

Apparently that can win you a trip to Tokyo.  I mean srsly?  Small events like that offer dinners to the local Japanese takeout place as a prize.  I would kind of understand if it was something that was a real challenge (like drawing a comic that doesn't completely suck anus) but the only thing getting on a stage and saying "manga" a lot should win you is a falcon punch to your genitals.

The artwork and the animation is pretty nice, but they really need to stop cramming sweatdrops, chibis and cross hatching veins every three seconds.   Also anyone notice how the animation for the main character is actually quite bad compared to the others?

Also: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4yb0YPDesVk&feature=related  See if you can spot the drawing of Naruto wearing eyeliner, hair product and lipstick.
