I was hooked on Survivor for a season (the Australia one).  But it wasn't my fault.  My wife made me watch the first few episodes and then I just had to know what happened.  Luckily, the next season's crew was so uninteresting it broke my addiction for me after the first episode.

Lesotho_Leela, if you're talking about the edited, Western version of Cardcaptors, you should try to get your hands on the subtitled unedited stuff, or the translated TokyoPop manga. It'll knock your socks off. It's somehow sweet yet deeply perverse in its miasma of gender- and age-disregarding romances.

Don't cry, Venus. It's not so big a deal. We've all done awful, terrible things in our lives, and had sick, disgusting feelings or urges of which we should be properly ashamed.  :D

I used to watch "Golden Girls" and "Who's the Boss?" with an almost religious zeal. These days I only watch Futurama and Alias, nothing else.

I heard someone say Sliders sucked. Are you kidding? It was one of the greatest sci-fi shows ever. The only disappointment was:

Other than that I don't watch any shows that would be shameful

Oh, and I realize that people will still dislike Sliders, I just wanted people to know some people DO like it

Some of the early 'Ellen's were OK. The later ones are the reason I hate my name. Passed down over generations of West Cork farmers and all it takes is one sitcom turning crap to make me detest it. . .  :D

There was a US sitcom I used to watch during the daytime on School breaks and it was about some woman at some newspaper - it's probably already been mentioned but I wouldn't remember the name if I saw it - but I made a habit of watching that. I had a reason though! It had Eric Idle as a regular cast member so that makes everything all better.

There was a period where I went out of my way to see Married With Children each day as well - there is some reason to that as well, I'm sure you can guess what it is...

What's so shameful about that? Quantum Leap is a quality show...I've only recently started watching the reruns. It has some lame episodes, mainly the ones where he jumps into famous old celebrities(the one where he leaps into Dr. Ruth was just plain goofy), but still. It's a good concept, and the characters are sexy, and it had a lot of good episodes.

Sliders on the other hand, oy.

Wow, someone brave enough to admit they watch the Golden Girls? Are you a huge Bea Arthur fan just like me!? (don't worry, it is a joke....) I am impressed. I used to watch it with my grandma. And I've watched it on occasion. But only if no one else is in the house. But if anybody ever made fun of me for watching it I would say, "I used to watch that with my grandma and now she's DEAD! Also, I am a BIG BEA ARTHUR FAN!"

Sliders was cool when it started on Fox. Now they botched the whole thing up by putting new characters. Actually, I stopped watching cuz it moved to the Sci-Fi channel and I don't have cable.

And I sometimes catch Carcaptor Sakura. But the American version is just wrong. They started the series in the 4th episode, which will make viewers puzzled. "Where did these Clow cards come from? Why is Sakura so important in getting them? And why is Kero-chan's head so amazingly huge?"

Yeah, Sliders was much better in the beginning.

8 years ago, I used to watch the X-men cartoon series.  I never read an X-men comic, but at least I knew what the movie was all about.

I quit watching as soon as I heard the unedited stuff and the translated manga would become available. How in Kero's name do they ever explain Li's "fear" of "Julian" (the American names barf me out. "Madison???") without revealing the "offensive" truth?

I don't think they ever do explain it.  They skip over so many episodes, and the ones they do show are all out of order, so it's very confusing.

I kind of like Kero-chan's dub voice, though.  It's so bizarrely out of place, that it's funny.

Ewwwwwww, ZJ reminded me of Kissyfur. Click the link. Look at the pics. Read the jawdropping plot description.

Read the title out loud.

If you can do that last one without spewing, you're a better man than I am, Charlie Brown.

Oh yeah--then there's the animated Punky Brewster. Yaaaaaaaagh! My eyes! My eyes!

EDIT: Oh, hell, sorry...my mind was clouded with the image of Kissyfur, The Evil One, and I forgot which topic I was in.

Kissyfur...no, not Kissyfur please...Even worse than Poofur[shivers]

You know what also bugs me? Many cartoons were dubbed in Holland Dutch, which has a very different pronounciation than Flemish Dutch.

It 's as if a Cockney was forced to listen to annoying redneck-English.  (Haw djuu lääk Miss HHHippy Boë? (How do you like Missisippi boy?))

Ever heard of Ovide? He's a blue platypus with comic adventures in the south seas, and hangs with his crew Saffron, Growner, and Polo. And Cy the snake always butts into their business. I've seen a couple on video, and I think it's a Canadian cartoon.
