After what seems like months of constant advertising, The Oubourne's is finally going to be on tonight at 10:00pm on MTV. Apparently they're supposed to make The Simpsons look like The Waltons, we'll see, anyway, is anyone going to watch it?

PS, I didn't put it in the British TV section because I presume that it will, or has already been shown in the US. I mean, they're American, it's filmed in America etc...

Perhaps she should go on a diet then  :p

I'll have to wait for one of the networks to buy it.

Actually, they're British. Osbourne, as in Ozzy Osbourne. You know, the guy who bit the head off a bat.

It's already been on in the US. they finished up about a month ago but I'm sure MTV is running reruns 5 times a day.

I don't like MTV, or Ozzy, or snotty kids/ drug addicts so I thought it would be the worst thing ever, but the show rocks.  It's hilarious. Just watch it.

Ok, I've seen the first episode, it's pretty good and damn funny :laff: They weren't lying when they said that the Osbourne's made The Simpsons look like The Waltons. Crazy but cool :)

Yeah that was a good part   :) I cant believe how much they say fuck though. And they even let Kelly and Jack say it as well. I dont how many people on here this applies to but my mum and dad would never ever ever let me say that word. They just wouldn't tolerate it. I can get away with saying 'bloody' and maybe 'shit' but thats it. Anything stronger than that I'd be in a lot of trouble   :)
But that program was really funny. Another bit I liked is when one of their dogs had ripped the cover on the chair   :laff:

Same here, my dad doesn't mind that much, as long as I don't say it often :) My mum though, she simply doesn't tolerate that kind of language in our family. She gives a huge lecture if I do, so I try and avoid it, sometimes it slips out though :(

I wasn't really that surprised that Ozzy swore a lot, but the way the kids spoke to their parents and the way they accepted it was really surprising, but also pretty funny :laff: I agree that the chair getting ripped up was great, and when Ozzy couldn't get the TV working :laff:

Pretty funny show. Ozzy is just soooooo wasted after years and years of bat-eating and drug parties.

Its pretty obvious that he can't cope without his family (esp his wife). I get the feeling that if you put him in a room on his own with a toaster and some bread he'd die of starvation he's so helpless.

YOU TRAITOR!!!!!!   ;)

I haven't actually seen an episode, but I've seen quite a few trailors and it does look fairly good. Ozzy is apparantly the funniest guy ever, even when not on TV.

And my parents let me get away with swearing to some extent (they do it too). Just depends on the situation. Unlimited swearing is allowed when referring to Big Brother   :D They are pretty trusting in me for some reason.

there was one thing that ozzy said in the first ep that made me laugh so much.

"I love you all..I love you more than life
itself...but you're all f***ing mad!"   :laff:

I don't have cable to catch on with the Osbourne's show. It's like they went mainstream overnight.

Well, I saw them on the Jay Leno talk show. 'Fuck' is indeed used a lot, but hey, it's a very versatile word! Not many other words can claim to be a noun, verb, adverb, and adjective at the same time  :D

I've now seen the second episode :) It was really funny when the dog kept peeing and crapping all over the house, like on the expensive rug and couch :laff:

I saw it yesterday. Is Ozzy always under the influence of alcohol, drugs or medication?  He acts weird, I can't put my finger on it.

And his son got all coked up, there was even coke on his t-shirt.

He always looks shocked or suprised in any situation he is in, like when his wife was using the vacum cleaner he was staring in amazement.

I watched the second episode as well. He seems to find it hard to speak. Like he finds it a chore or something  :) But like Wiggles said, he's so wasted after years of drug, alcohol and bat-eating parties  :laff: He's one funny guy though  :D

Ozzy is "clean" not using drugs or alcohol any more.  What you're seeing is the result of what he was doing for the last 25 or so years.

The funniest aspect of the show is that G W Bush apparently likes it so much, he invited the Osbournes to dinner at the Whitehouse.  Even stranger is that apparently Dan Quayle has sites Ozzy and his wife as a solid family role model.

I'm not sure which is scarrier, Ozzy and his family, or the respect being paid them by American political figures.
