Do knew threads about hating FOX really needed to be started?  I mean, sure it should be an olympic event, but there are probably six or seven threads having this argument as the crux of discussion on the board now.

It tells a wonderful tale about the re-modeling of a certain network. Warning! Though not necessarily spoilers, the new show summaries might leave a bad taste in your mouth. I also got this:

Kicking the can
"Ally McBeal," "American Embassy," "The Chamber," "Dark Angel," "Family Guy," "Greg the Bunny," "Love Cruise," "Pasadena," "Temptation Island," "That '80s Show," "The Tick," "Titus," "Undeclared" and "The X-Files."

Returning
"America's Most Wanted: America Fights Back," "Boston Public," "Cops," "Futurama," "The Simpsons," "That '70s Show" and "24."

Shuffling places
These times are Central.
King of the Hill" goes to 7:30 p.m. Sunday from 6:30 p.m. Sunday.
"Malcolm in the Middle" goes to 8 p.m. Sunday from 7:30 p.m. Sunday.
"Grounded for Life" goes to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday from 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.
"The Bernie Mac Show" goes to 7 p.m. Wednesday from 8 p.m. Wednesday.

Right, TV shows I like...

FUTURAMA- probably finishing in 2003
FRASIER- finishes in 2004
STARGATE- finishes in 2003
BLACK BOOKS- Don't know, but most UK sitcoms have a short life
SIMPSONS- Going down the loo
BECKER- Might last a few more years.

Oh boy!  How wonderful my TV viewing will be in 2005! [sarcasm detector blows up]

You know, from all the shows that premiered last year in Fox I only liked Undeclared and now is cancelled. I also like Dark Angel and now it's cancelled.Damn. We should raise funds and start a new channel so we can make all those shows(including Futurama).

I liked Dark Angel too, but at least That 70's Show lives on!

I'm telling you guys, The Simpsons is right. By decade's end, the network will become nothing more than a hard-core sex channel.

I don't understand this. Do FOX have loads of money lying around in their vault, and now they need to "use 'em or loose 'em"? It can't be cheap to constantly start new sitcoms, shows and programs, and then cancel them after what looks like an average of 2 years.

You'd think they'd take the shows that have a reasonable amount of succes (read Futurama) stick 'em in a good timeslot and promote the hell out of them. Futurama did start out with some really good ratings, it just doesn't make sense to squander all the money invested in a show that show signs of being a big hit, and then take your chances with something new and unproved.

In similar vain with Ally McBeal. I don't watch it, but if what FOX write is true (about it's 5 wonderful seasons) why do they kill it? Do you have to kill of succes' just to give new shows a chance? Can't we have the best of both worlds?

I agree with most of that, although I don't expect the remaining Futurama epsiodes to have done airing until 2004 :( As for TV by 2005, maybe Matt Groening will have a new show by then :)
