But it's not really that much of a surprise, since the song mentions Princess Cadance, so Shining Armour would probably be in there too.   I'm happy he's back though, they should have a few more male ponies in the recurring cast (Braeburn has only appeared once, and Big Mc doesn't say much beyond "eyup" when he appears, even if that is part of his charm.)

But yeah, since I collect crystal clusters and points, seeing the Crystal Pony kingdom is pleasing me a lot.

As a non-American, almost my entire exposure to mlp episodes is through youtube, so the hypothetical threat of a massive tonne of bricks coming down on such videos - and possibly other fan-content as well - would be make a *huge* impact on mlp's global appeal. I mean, I really like the show as is, but the fan-content probably makes the majority percentage of my enjoyment of the show in general.

Sure, the probability that mlp would actually be technically more available through screenings on the Disney Channel abroad would not make it impossible for me to watch, but with my parents historically making my watching of Futurama difficult enough, trying to explain my desire to watch My Little Pony would make things *unlikely*.
(Actually have only just discovered it's shown on Boomerang here in the UK)
So that and Disney possibly wiping out the PMVs and whatnot is my biggest concern.

The second biggest concern - though either one or both could ruin it for me - would be a change in the show's direction. Disney doesn't *need* the brony community, after all. That's probably the second biggest concern though because I consider it less likely to happen.

Anyway, those are just hypothetical fears and worse-case scenarios. Otherwise I'm sort of indifferent to Disney acquiring Hasbro - as horribly un-left-wing as that makes me sound...or does it? I actually think an industry dominated by monopolies and an industry dominated by state-ownership are one-and-the-same when it comes to personal economic freedoms...I've just decided/realised

Anyway, so yeah, if the rumours are to be believed that is.

I am enjoying the adult jokes they manage to slip into the show, especially when it comes to background ponies, and even though I don't really drink much alcohol, the whole cider and punch (and 'spiked punch') alcohol gags really amuse me for some reason. Especially when the fans escalate them

Just looking at the countdown on ED, the first episode of the first season is in just under seven hours. Which is exciting... but in Australia it will be 1am >< it will be difficult to not look at spoilers before I find the ep. (here's hoping it'll be up and viewable on youtube by the time I get up!)

Great season premiere! I think the awesomeness still has yet to settle in.

I was expecting Twilight to suddenly earn wings several times within the episode. Like, the wings were going to aide her in climbing the stairs (instead she screwed with gravity and slid down, can't say that's not brilliant and more fun). We all love Princess Cadance and now Prince Shining Armor. Wish we could've saw King Sombra more. And my favorite scene is the door of nightmares- Celestia was such a bitch!

Did anybody catch the previews for the rest of the season? Did we just see Celestia's parents? They didn't have horns or wings; they were like REAL horses! Shocking, but we'll see if they are related to Celestia (they could just be from a relative country).
