I have only seen the BBC and the Dutch version before.
Quite boring if you ask me.

I prefered the British one, although I haven't seen as much of the US version. The house robots seem cooler than having stuff come up from the floor.

I agree, I prefer just to see them smash each other to bits. Some teams seem more keen on putting on a show than having a decent robot.

The American one is better! Why! becuase I'm American and I said so! But really its becuase They do it right. The Robots in all these shows are made for carnage. The American show doesn't mess around! just put them in a big box with a couple non fatal(normaly) hazards and let the 'bots smash each other to bits! MWA HA HA HA! Disector Rules!!!

I think you're thinking of Battle Bots, Erdrik. There is actually an American Robot Wars, hosted by Cactus Jack, or Mankind, or whatever you want to call him.
Anyway, I like the British Robot Wars better.

I think the British version is better, or at least it was for three first three seasons. It was cool when Jeremy Clarkson presented it, and Craig Charles did a pretty good job after. I always wanted Mortis to win, but to my disappointment he never did. After season three it started to suck, and what I've seen of the American version, there's too much taliking and not enough carnage.

Originally posted by Kif: By the way, Otis, how can you like that Mortis machine? How could you not? He was so cool, well designed and well made. He cost £20,000 pounds to make in it's first carnation, and got kept getting upgraded ever since. That axe had to be one of the most lethal weapons ever, so much power. Those caterpillar tracks, and it’s titanium plated body were the icing on the cake.

Originally posted by Mitsui: I also like Cassius, Im sure the "owner" looked like Matt Groening. Now that you mention it, I guess there is a similarity. Cassius was a great robot, strong, manoeuvrable and had a revolutionary design. Recyclopse was his first robot, from Season One, I wish it had one instead of Road Block.
