I love Hey Arnold the TV show, it's one of the few decent "kiddy" cartoons still on today. The movie could totally suck, but I still want to see it.

Its like a grown up "kiddy" cartoon though if you know what I mean as well. Not like really kiddy like the tweenies or the teletubbies or anthing  :) Because my dad really likes it as well and he'll sit and watch it with me. But my dad likes practiaclly all the stuff I like as well. He watches Futurama with me as well and Tom and jerry and of course the one and only ed, edd n eddy   :) YAY!

I totally agree, grown ups can enjoy Hey Arnold just as much, if not more than the kids that it's made for :)

I'm looking forward to it  ;) Although I saw the commercials, and it sounds like they got someone else for the voice of Arnold. Which will really throw things off  :p

I've visited a few Hey Arnold! sites and there is alot of rumors about Helga revealing (intentionaly or otherwise) a certain little secret of hers...   :laff:

They messed up the animation style too. It's different from the show, kinda sketchy and icky.

I think Arnold suspects that she likes him(as a friend I mean)... Tho I doubt he is expecting a confession of love! 'Helga on the Couch' is my Fav eps btw  ;) followed closely by 'SummerLove'

I have to do this for the "Powerpuff Girls" movie.  Maybe my little sister is willing to go...

I can wait for the "Hey Arnold!" movie to hit DVD though, I won't go to the theater for it.

Oh wait.  Was that a rhetorical question?
Anyway, I'm psyched about this movie.  I'm 15 and still watch a lot of "kiddie" shows (Hey Arnold!, Invader Zim, As Told by Ginger, Lizzie McGuire, Futurama, X-Men: Evolution, Jackie Chan Adventures...).  I think I'm the only person I know who's actually anticipating Kim Possible...(Hey, it's Christy Carlson Romano!  :) )

Politically incorrect example: South Park

Politically correct: no jokes about sex, no profanity, etc.

Maybe I chose the wrong words there. I didn't say it isn't good if it hasn't sex, profanity etc.  I meant I find it good when it 's controversial. Politically Incorrect may  also include daring to criticise, even insult politics, politicians, religions, and so on.

About Hey Arnold: I just don't like it. The animations, voices, characters...

It's a cartoon written for kids. It airs on a kids' channel. How controversial do you think it's supposed to be?

Eh, it's one of those Nickelodeon little kids cartoons that I've never cared much about, like 'Arrgh, Real Monsters' and 'Rugrats' etc. Nothing funny ever happens, I dare say it's boring, so I don't see how they're going to pull off a 100 minute movie. I suppose the kids will enjoy it along with the rabid fans of AURT (Animated Unresolved Romantic Tension) such as our friends Erdrik & BBT.

I watched several Hey Arnold episodes.
I don't think there are any jokes in it.
Or is just about morale, with themes like friendship? And  I really hate those annoying 10-12 year olds.

Definately not for me.  :nono:

There are plenty of jokes... Just that Arnold isn't usualy involved with 'im.
Usualy his Gandpa and Grandma, Hegla, Harold, and the other kids, are the comic releif.. Plus the jokes are usually very sutble or hiddin..

I like subtle jokes. But then again some popele are just thinck, like when there was a video of a disco burning down and they played "Disco Inferno".
I was the only one who got the irony...
