One thing I cant figure out is why the mom and the oldest daughter are voiced by male voice actors. Maybe they're reincarnated Shakespearean actors?

Love this show so much. A few people have told me Tina reminds them of me so much.
Anyhow what I love about it is that it's funny, but it has genuine heart and warmth to it. Bob's become the best tv father ever, because you can really tell he would do anything for his kids, but it's in a very subtle, non-showy, non-saccherine touchy feely way. I also love how Linda is basically a gay Brooklyn man trapped in the body of a loopy housewife. I also think it's fantastic that it's one of the few animated sitcoms that actually makes its female characters funny. South Park has pretty much diminished every one of its funny female characters (Mrs Crabtree, Sheila, Wendy, the Mayor, Principal Victoria) and it's not like it had loads of them to begin with. As for Family Guy, when they have the main male supporting characters and the main female supporting female characters dancing.... yeah. Even Mort gets more lines and episodes then any of the gals on the right (when the hell has Tricia Takanawa gotten to do anything? You'd think killing off poor Diane would leave Tricia open for an increased role but nooooo)
Anyhow. Great show. It's hilarious but has genuine charm and warmth to it. I also love the character designs for the kids, they're really distinctive and cute.

But that's where the devil is! Let him out! Tina's zombie infatuation and erotic friendfiction are this decade's revolution in eroticism, but I like that Louise pretty much holds all of the true power in the household even more. Don't forget Nurse Gollum! I really do like the family dynamic at play here, though. In the episode when Tina gets into the car accident while Bob is trying to teach her to drive, he displays incredible patience with her all throughout that I loved. Even in reality, a lot of parents would scream at her or shame her or weep at her, but Bob just tries to come up with a solution and get Tina in on it. It's a very simple display of good parenting on Bob's part, but it's hard to overlook.

I've fallen in love with the show since episode two. I think my favorite episode of season 3 is Broadcast Wagstaff School News. Next episode will be My Fuzzy Valentine on February 10.
