Anyone watching this?

Its supposed to be the new lost.  But for real, not like flashfoward.  I've only watched the first episode, because I keep forgetting what day its on, and it was interesting.

The good thing about this show is that they already have the storyline written through the second season, which means they wont be covering their asses trying to explain something later on.

I tried watching it yesterday, and I was quite bored. I do not know, I guess I am willing to give it another shot.

I watched the teaser thing, I like the way they put in a black president like in 24... oh and real life now, lol, a plane crash... on an island, and probably some other stuff amalgamated from other shows over the last few years.

Know what show I miss? Day Break. That was a good Lost successor. It was basically Groundhog Day as a serious TV series. It only had 13 episodes (and only 6 aired) but was quite well done. It was aired during the long break after the first 6 episodes in season 3 in Lost.

I've watched the first 4 eps, but i'm getting bored with it. All the lost replacements these days go with a HUGE EVENT to kick it off, and it's just too big too fast, i don't care about the little characters at all. I'll give it a few more eps, but right now... I just don't care about anyone...

EDIT: Rubicon on the other hand, jesus fuck that is amazing. Watch it, seriously. It's very slow burning, but those are some people i actually care about.

I prefer the Event mentioned in That Mitchell and Webb Look.

See Chay, I think it takes awhile to care about the characters.  I didnt watch lost when it came out.  I ended up watching the 2nd season before I watched the first.

With these kinds of shows I think you need to watch them back to back initially to really start caring.  So maybe waiting till the season is over and then just banging them out would do it.

If it gets a second season...

I disagree, No Ordinary Family, sure it has it's faults, but i already care about the characters, same with Terriers, Rubicon and Boardwalk Empire, only a few episode into each of those, and I care about the characters, some I really like and want to win, others I really hate and want them to fail/get beaten (I mean this in a good way). But I can't really say the same for the characters in this. Maybe Sofia? I do want to know why she's the leader etc, but the BF/GF story feels too flimsy for me to care what happens to any of them.

Again, i'm going to watch a few more eps, but i'm close to giving up.

I just started watching this.  I have to agree with Chay that the Sean/Leila (I just spelled Leila with a second 'e'.  I'm hopeless)  is kinda flimsy.  Why would evil shadow government-terrorist-aliens care about some random video game programmer and his girlfriend?  I do like the Sofia / President Obama Whatsisname storyline though, and there's enough explosions and gun battles to keep me entertained, so I think I'll keep watching.
