Now, the world don't move to the beat of just one drum,
What might be right for you, may not be right for some.
A man is born, he's a man of means.
Then along come two, they got nothing but their jeans.

But they got, Diff'rent Strokes. It takes,
Diff'rent Strokes. It takes,
Diff'rent Strokes to move the world.

Everybody's got a special kind of story
Everybody finds a way to shine,
It don't matter that you got,
not alot,
So what,
They'll have theirs, and you'll have yours, and I'll have mine.
And together we'll be fine....
Because it takes, Diff'rent Strokes to move the world.
Yes it does.
It takes, Diff'rent Strokes to move the world.

and here's a theme tune of a classic

Love and Marriage, Love and Marriage,
Go together like a horse and carriage,
This I tell ya brother, you can't have one without the other.

Love and Marriage, Love and Marriage,
It's an institute you can't disparage,
Ask the local gentry, and they will say is element'ry.

Try, try, try to separate them,
It's an illusion.
Try, try, try and you will only come
to this conclusion.

Love and Marriage, Love and Marriage,
Go together like a horse and carriage,
Dad was told by mother
You can't have one
You can't have none
You can't have one without the other.

Is it wrong to bump an old thread, if I have something to say?  As you can see, I had some theme songs of my own to mention that weren't mentioned on the thread.  I can't help it if this thread is old, and I wasn't around when it first appeared.  Besides isn't that was the search feature is for?

There's nothing wrong with bumping a thread if you have something worthwhile to add.  You do bump an awful lot of threads, though.  From now on, I shall call you Bumpy.

Anyway, here's a theme song that I know SlackJawedMoron will enjoy.   ;)

This is a story of courage, honour and worms.
War had cast a shadow over their once peaceful land,
Gunfire filled the air, as worm turned against worm;
Where so many had fallen, others knew they must follow.
For one such worm, this day had already come.
When he was two, his father had left, never to return.
Three years he had waited for his chance to fight;
Three years of training, both day and night.
And though he was scared as he set off for battle,
He knew in his heart that it was something he must do.
Three inches tall, and armed to the teeth,
A fine soldier he made, and his name was Boggy B.

We are worms, we're the best, and we've come to win the war
We'll stand, we'll never run, stay until it's done
Though our friends may fall, and our world be blown apart
We'll strike with all our might
We'll fight for what is right till the end.

Scrambling up a hill and hiding behind a tree,
He looked at the battle that raged below.
It was there he saw his friend Spadge stood upon a bridge.
But another worm had also seen him, and aimed to have him dead
Boggy called to Spadge, but Spadge didn't hear,
He never knew what hit him, as he flew into the air.
It was all to much for Boggy, as he watched his best friend die.
Charging down the hill he had to have revenge,
What had Spadge done to come to such an end?
Reaching the bottom of the hill, Boggy suddenly heard a click:
He realized to is terror there was a mine under his tail!

We are worms, we're the best, and we've come to win the war
We'll stand, we'll never run, stay until it's done
Though our friends may fall, and our world be blown apart
We'll strike with all our might
We'll fight for what is right till the end.

Hitting several cliffs and landing in a tree,
Boggy pulled himself together, there was much he had to do.
Spotting the enemy down below, he knew this was his chance.
Boggy grabbed a stick of dynamite and dropped it on his head.
The enemy, he tried to run, but all he could really do was squirm,
As the fuse ran out there was a mighty BANG, and everywhere were bits of worm.
With their leader blown to kingdom come, the enemy they turned and ran!
Boggy bungeed from the tree and landed safely on the ground.
As he watched the enemy squirm away, the cry went up: "We've won the war!"

We are worms, we're the best, and we've come to win the war
We'll stand, we'll never run, stay until it's done
Though our friends may fall, and our world be blown apart
We'll strike with all our might
We'll fight for what is right till the end.

The original Power Rangers Theme:

Go, go Power Rangers!
Go, go Power Rangers!
Go, go Power Rangers! Mighty Morphin Power Rangers!

The Weird Al Show Theme - possibly the most hilarious lyrics for a theme:

Oh, this is a story 'bout a guy named Al
And he lived in a sewer with his hamster pal
But the sanitation workers really didn't approve
So he packed up his accordion and had to move
To a city in Ohio where he lived in a tree
And he worked in a nasal decongestant factory
And he played on the company bowling team
And every single night he had a strange recurring dream
Where he was wearing lederhose in a vat of sour cream
But that's really not important to the story

Well, the very next year he met a dental hygienist
With a spatula tatooed on her arm (on her arm)
But he didn't keep in touch
And he lost her number
Then he got himself a job on a tator tot farm
And he spent his life-savings on a split-level cave
Twenty miles below the surface of the Earth (of the Earth)
And he really makes a might fine jelly bean and pickle sandwich
For what it's worth

Then one day Al was in the forest trying to get a tan
When he heard the tortured screaming of a funny little man
He was caught in a bear trap and Al set him free
And the guy that he rescued was grateful as could be
And it turns out he's a big-shot producer on TV
So he gives Al a contract and whaddya know
Now he's got his very own Weird! Al! show!!!

Teen Titans Theme - English Lyrics:

When there's trouble, you know who to call (TEEN TITANS!)
From their tower, they can see it all (TEEN TITANS!)
When there's evil on the attack
You can rest knowing they got your back
'Cause when the world needs heroes on patrol
TEEN TITANS, GO!
TEEN TITANS, GO!
With their super powers, they unite (TEEN TITANS!)
Never met a villain that they liked (TEEN TITANS!)
They got the bad guys on the run
They never stop until the job gets done
'Cause when the world is losing all control
TEEN TITANS, GO!
TEEN TITANS, GO!
If your heart is black, you better watch out
You cannot escape the team
When they catch you, there won't be any doubt
You've been beaten by the teens
beaten by the teens
T-E-E-N! T-I-T-A-N-S! TEEN TITANS! LET'S GO!
T-E-E-N! T-I-T-A-N-S! TEEN TITANS! LET'S GO!

Spider-man, spider-man
Does whatever a spider can
Spins a web, any size
Catches theives just like flies
Oh yeah, here comes the Spider-man
Is he strong, listen bud
He's got radioactive blood!
Can he swing from a thread
Take a look overhead!
Hey there, there goes the Spider-man!

In the chill of the night
At the scene of the crime
Like a streak of light
He arrives just in time!

Spider-man, Spider-man
Friendly neighborhood Spider-man
Wealth and fame, he's ignored
Action is his reward
To him, life is a great big bang-up
Wherever there's a hang-up
You'll find the Spider-man!

Frankly I like the older eps of this show better, when Drew and Mimi were at each other's throats, but the theme song is cool. ^^;

Three Four!
Three Four!
Three Four!

All this energy callin' me
Back where it comes from,
Its such a crude attitude
Its back where it belongs!

All the little kids growin' up on the skids
Are goin' Cleveland Rocks, Cleveland Rocks,
Jumpin' James Jean is moonin' James Dean
While goin' Cleveland Rocks,
Cleveland Rocks,
Cleveland Rocks,
Cleveland Rocks,
Cleveland Rocks!

Momma knows but she dont care,
She's got her worries too,
Seven kids and a phony affair,
And the rent is due.

All the little chicks with the crimson lips
Go Cleveland Rocks, Cleveland Rocks
Livin' in sin with a safety pin goin'
Cleveland Rocks,
Cleveland Rocks,
Cleveland Rocks,
Cleveland Rocks!

I got some records from World War Two,
I Play 'em just like me grand dad do,
He was a rocker and I am too ,
Now Cleveland Rocks, yeah Cleveland Rocks!

(repeated 4 times)
Cleveland Rocks, Cleveland Rocks, Cleveland Rocks, Cleveland Rocks!

CLEVELAND ROCKS!

OHIO!

Here's one that may or may not be another Futurama.

Oh Yeeeaaah
I'm your basic average girl
And I'm here to save the world
You can't stop me
Cause I'm Kim Pos-si-ble
There is nothin I can't do
When danger calls
Just know that I am on my way (know that I am on my way)

It doesn't matter when there's trouble
If ya just call my name
Kim Possible

Call me, beep me, if ya wanna reach me
When ya wanna page me it's okay
I just can't wait until I hear my cell phone ring
Doesn't matter if it's day or night
Everything's gonna be alright
Whenever you need me baby
Call me, beep me if ya wanna reach me

(Kim here, so what's the sitch?)
Message clear,
I am hear(let me reasure you)
I'm never gonna leave you alone
I am (I'm on) my way
You can always count on me,
When it gets dark I'll help you see.
I will help you find your way.
Help you find your way.

It doesn't matter where or when there's trouble
If you just call my name. (beeping)

Call me, Beep me, If you wanna reach me
When you wanna page me it's O.K.
I just can't wait until I hear my cell phone ring.
Doesn't matter if it's day or night
Everything's gonna be alright.
Whenever you need me baby
Call me, beep me, if you wanna reach me.

Doesn't matter where
Doesn't matter when
I will be there for ya til the very end
Danger or trouble
I'm there on the double
You know that you always can call
Kim Possible

Yeaahh yeaah

Call me, beep me, if ya wanna reach me
When ya wanna page me it's okay
I just can't wait until I hear my cell phone ring
Doesn't matter if it's day or night
Everything is gonna be alright
Whenever ya need me, whenever you need me baby
Call me, beep me if ya wanna reach me
When ya wanna page me it's okay
I just can't wait until I hear my cell phone ring
Doesn't matter if it's day or night
Everything's gonna be alright
Whenever ya need me baby,
Call me, beep me, if ya wanna reach me

Yeah well, what do you expect?  It is from Disney, but for some reason it is addictive much like the Futurama theme song and I find myself liking it.  It is one of those songs that get stuck in your head.

Teen Titans, that song is so annoying, but I find myself singing along with it when I hear it on TV.  Then I change the channel.

That's because Puffy AmiYumi, the group that performed that song, cannot write anything that's not catchy. Believe me, I've been listening to some of their other songs, I so far have not found one uncatchy song in their itinerary.

Here's a theme song that I also like features a character played be Phil LaMarr:

Ozzy & Drix,
O-O-Ozzy & Drix!
Trouble in the air, what'cha gonna do?
(It's a cold, it's a fever,
Or maybe the flu,
Ah-ah-choooooo!)
Meet Ozzy & Drix, private eye,
Cuttin' germs and viruses down to size,
Busy defending all the nerve endings,
They got guts and nerves vim and verne,
(They're bad to the bone, even badder in the bladder,
Make a scene in the spleen, put the hustle in the muscle,
Put the hip in the hips,
The word on the lips,
Ideas in the brain,
Keepin' him sane!)
Keepin' him sane!
Lookin' good, like a blood cell should
(Like a blood cell should!)
Ozzy & Drix,
O-O-Ozzy & Drix!
Inside the body and mind
From the tip of the nose to the behind,
They're the protectors
Of the City of Hector,
Ozzy & Drix!

I LOVE the theme song for Sealab 2021,I won't post the lyrics since someone already posted them.

I also love the theme song from a TV show called Rich Girls which used to air on MTV. I'll post the lyrics when I find them.

Found them:

This town is our town,
It is so glamorous,
Bet you'd live here if you could,
And be one of us,
This town is our town,
It is so Glamorous,
Bet you'd live here if you could,
And be one of us!

I believe it's sang by Lillix.

I like the theme song to American Dad.  It may not become as big as Family Guy, but the theme song is as catchy as Family Guy.

Good morning, USA!
I got a feeling that it's gonna be a wonderful day!

And he's shinin' a salute to the American race!
Oh boy! It's swell to saaay!

I've had this stuck in my head for a while now, even though I haven't seen the show in almost a decade. I have no idea why:

----------------

Well, she sneaks around the world from Kiev to Carolina.
She's a sticky-fingered filcher from Berlin down to Belize.
She'll take you for a ride on a slow boat to China.
Tell me where in the world is Carmen Sandiego?

Steal their Seoul in South Korea; make Antarctica cry "Uncle,"
From the Red Sea to Greenland, they'll be singing the blues.
Well they never Arkansas her steal the Mekong from the jungle.
Tell me where in the world is Carmen Sandiego?

She goes from Nashville to Norway, Bonaire to Zimbabwe.
Chicago to Czechoslovakia, and back!

Well, she'll ransack Pakistan, and run a scam in Scandinavia,
Then she'll stick 'em up down under and go pick-pocket Perth.
Put the "Miss" in misdemeanor when she stole the beans from Lima.
Tell me where in the world is Carmen Sandiego?

Botswana to Thailand, Milan via Amsterdam.
Mali to Bali, Ohio, Oahu!

Well she glides around the world, and she'll flim-flam every nation.
She's a double-dealing diva with a taste for thievery.
Her itinerary's loaded up with moving violations.
Tell me where in the world is Carmen Sandiego?

Where in the world is Carmen Sandiego?

I like the theme to Denis Leary's new show 'Rescue Me' it's by Von Bondies.

"C'mon C'mon"

On another day c'mon c'mon
With these ropes tied tight can we do no wrong
Now we grieve cause now is gone
Things were good when we were young

With my teeth bite down I can see the blood
Of a thousand men who have come and gone
Now we grieve cause now is gone
Things were good when we were young

Is it safe to say? (c'mon c'mon)
Was it right to leave? (c'mon c'mon)
Will I ever learn? (c'mon c'mon)
(c'mon c'mon c'mon c'mon)

As I make my way c'mon c'mon
These better nights that seem too long
Now we grieve cause now is gone
Things were good when we were young

With my teeth bite down I can see the blood
Of a thousand men who have come and gone
Now we grieve cause now is gone
Things were good when we were young

Is it safe to say? (c'mon c'mon)
Was it right to leave? (c'mon c'mon)
Will I never learn? (c'mon c'mon)
(c'mon c'mon c'mon c'mon)

Is it safe to say? (c'mon c'mon)
Was it right to leave? (c'mon c'mon)
Will I never learn? (c'mon c'mon)
(c'mon c'mon c'mon c'mon)

And know this day these deepened wounds don't heal so fast
Can't hear me croon of a million lies that speak no truth
Of a time gone by that now is through

You suck, LLL.

One of my favourite theme songs is South Park's... It's just... Hypnotic. Escpecially in the earlier episodes, with the twangier, more base-y and simple music. Yeah, that kicked ass.

I'm Goin' Down to South Park,
Gonna have myself a time.

Friendly faces everywhere,
Humble folks without temptation!

Goin' Down to South Park,
Gonna leave my woes behind.

Ample parking day or night,
People spouting 'Howdy, neighbour!'

Headin' on Down to South Park,
Gonna see if I can't unwind.

Mmf-fm Ummf Mmf ffm mm,
Ufpm mmf ffmum ffmm mfm!

So come on down to South Park,
And meet some friends of mine!

The original theme (it never aired- it's kind of like the end theme, but with words) was spiffy, too, but a bit too creepy/haunted circus for my tastes. If you looked at South Park studios, you could probably find it.

I wish some TV show used "Can't Touch This" by MC Hammer as the theme.

I also heard the Hitchhikers Guide TV show theme (now I know where the movie theme came from)

There are 5 theme tunes i like:
Futurama
The Goodies (not so fond of the early tune)
Little Britain (Write the theme tune, sing the theme tune:do do do,dededo do do,ect.)
Doctor Who
and Frasier

Hey baby, I hear the blues a-callin',
Tossed salad and scrambled eggs

Oh My
Mercy (alt: Quite stylish.)

And maybe I seem a bit confused,
Yeah maybe, but I got you pegged!
Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha!

But I don't know what to do with those tossed salads and scrambled eggs.
They're callin' again.

I think the Drew Carrey Show theme song is one of the best. For the lyrics, let's take a quote from an earlier post instead of trying to type the lyrics wrongly myself.

Seven kids and a phony affair,

I got some records from World War Two,
I Play 'em just like me grand dad do,

Cleveland Rocks, Cleveland Rocks, Cleveland Rocks, Cleveland Rocks!

CLEVELAND ROCKS!

I like the theme to "My Life As A Teenage Robot"

Five o'clock and a call to go blading at the skate park down by the mall.
But my mom says I got to prevent some aliens from alienating us all
(HIYA!)

With the strength of a million & seventy men
I guess I really shouldn't complain.
Still, I wish I can go for a walk without
Rusting in the rain.

It's enough to fry my brain.
So welcome to my life
As a teenage robot.
Story of my life
As a teenage robot.
A teenage robot life!

Some lyrics
Fresh Prince of Bel Air
Now this is the story all about how,
My life got flipped, turned upside down,
And I’d like to take a minute, just sit right there,
I’ll tell you how I became the prince of a town called Bel Air.

In West Philadelphia, born and raised
On the playground is where I spent most of my days.
Chillin’ out, maxin’, relaxin all cool,
And all shootin’ some b-ball outside of the school.

When a couple of guys who were up to no good,
Started makin’ trouble in my neighborhood.
I got in one little fight and my mom got scared,
And said You’re movin’ with your auntie and uncle in Bel Air.

I begged and pleaded with her the other day
But she packed my suitcase and sent me on my way
She gave me a kiss and she gave me my ticket
I put my walkman on and said I might as well kick it

First class, yo this is bad,
Drinking orange juice out of a champagne glass
Is this what the people of Bel-Air livin' like,
Hmm this might be alright!

I whistled for a cab, and when it came near,
The license plate said fresh and it had dice in the mirror.
If anything I could say that this cat was rare,
But I thought Nah forget it, "Yo home to Bel Air."

I pulled up to the house about seven or eight,
and I yelled to the cabby "Yo homes, smell ya later."
Looked at my kingdom, I was finally there,
To fill my throne as the Prince of Bel Air.

Wishbone
What's the story Wishbone?
What's this you're dreaming of?
Such a big imagination on such a little pup!

What's the story Wishbone?
Do you think it's worth a look?
It kind of seems familiar. like a story from a book.

Shake a leg now Wishbone
Let's wag another tail.
Sniffin' out adventure with Wishbone on the trail.

Come on, Wishbone.
What's the story Wishbone? What's the story Wishbone?
What's the story Wishbone? What's the story Wishbone?
<Wishbone barks>
