Just thought you might like to know that Coco struck down a furious anger on Leno and Letto.

Aw sweet, the videos on the TBS site play internationally, that's cool of them, watched the highlights, Conan rocking out with Jack White was rad.

yah, interview-wise 2nd episode was much better than the first. No idea why they went with zach efron for the first ep instead of tom hanks, but oh well.

Hahaha, confusing Seth Rogan with Zach Efron, not even CLOSE. Zach Efron is the kid from High School Musical, Gopher.

I haven't seen it either and don't plan to, but it's kind of impossible to avoid hearing about THE CURRENT BIG THING WITH KIDS THESE DAYS, whatever it happens to be at the time.

Seth Rogan on the other hand is an adult actor who has been in a few good films. It should be an easy distinction to make.

There's a lot of things I can't seem to help but learn, but "the current big thing with the kids these days" has never been one of them, even when I was a kid myself.

Who is this "Seth Rogan" everyone is talking about? Is he anything like Seth Rogen?

Edited for linkage.

HSM hasn't been the current big thing for a couple years now.

I know. I was saying that I heard about it when it WAS the big thing, along with most people.

Welp, last week's full ratings aren't in yet, apparently because of thanksgiving tho I'm not clear on why, but ratings in the first two weeks on conan were strong. Obviously he didn't hold the insanely high numbers of his premiere, but he's averaged 1.7 million viewers 18-49, keeping him #1 for that coveted demographic. Woot.

Seems to be working well for george lopez too; his ratings for the first two weeks following conan were 662 thousand for the same demographic; while not nearly as high as conan's ratings, this is an 80% increase from his average for the previous four weeks, when he was still in the 11pm time slot himself.

Show is still young, of course, so it's too soon to say if the numbers will hold at this level indefinitely. As a side bonus to the conan lovers and leno haters, last week leno's ratings dropped, not only below Conan's new show, but below Conan's ratings on the Tonight show last year.

Nice.

:edit: Even if you drop the premiere's staggering 3.2 million viewers (18-49) and average since then, he's still averaging 1.5mil a night.

:edit2:

... Tonight's episode, Slash is standing in with the Basic Cable Band. He's not the musical guest - that's Bo Burnham. He's just there to play with the band, apparently.

This is both bizarre and awesome.

Haven't been looking to see who upcoming guests are, just finding out each night, so I just learned who tonight's guest is.

The Kardashians.

...

I'm very curious to see if, and how, this affects the episode's ratings.

Thought I'd put this in here:
Conan O'Brien Can't Stop
Following Coco and his Cocrew on his "Legally Prohibited From Being Funny on TV Tour" of last year before the TBS show, the documentary starts with some details of how he left the Tonight Show, the planning of the tour and a short clips and performances of him and his band/guests onstage.
Some appearances include Jon Hamm, Jack McBrayer, Jon Stewart, Stephen Colbert, Jim Carrey, Jack White and Eddie Vedder, but mostly it's Conan and his stage team, assistant, Andy Richter, Bley etc and the banter between them.
We see Conan get completely exhausted and possibly even demoralised by the tour at times but I got the impression it was something to get out of his system even though his choices for those 6 months were limited.

Excellent behind the scenes look at our Ginger God!

I sat down and watched that tonight. I really enjoyed it. The drain on his face from the first show to the last was interesting to watch. I remember wanting to go see his show in Boulder so badly. So again I'm going to try to apply for an internship for the summer.
