A lot of people seemed to hate the Slash thing, personally I thought it was fucking brilliant.

Well that was one hell of an episode...I REALLY liked it. The entire multiple personality therapist plot was genius.

I assumed it would at least be an alright Butters episode but it took me by surprise and ended up being a really great episode. Lots of good laugh-out-loud moments as well.

Watched it last night - good ep.  I enjoy watching Butters cross back and forth from meek and accepting vs. "take charge" mode.

New ep announced, 'You're Getting Old', which is about this:

Just after Stan’s 10th birthday, his worldview starts to change and so do his friendships.

In the preview clip Sharon asks Randy to listen to modern day music (AKA Dubstep) and admit it sounds like crap, but Randy insists he likes it. Sounds great. :D

Yup. You should know they rarely age in South Park by now.

Or any animated show for that matter. :nono:

I kind of like that, they startedout at 8 and in 3rd grade, and they're only in 4th which is 9-10 years old, I'd like to see at least one moregrade jump before show's end

15 is a good number, I don't see it lasting much longer, definitely not to 20
Yes and no, I think the show can last longer, ut if it did endat 15, it would still be a good run

It seemed like they were talking to themselves/the audience with this episode, especially with the fight between Sharon and Randy towards the end :p

I quite enjoyed it actually. Interesting to see how that gets resolved..if at all

This and the previous episode were probably the best of the season so far. At least to me.

I like how they acknowledge what's happened to the show as of late, but the constant shit jokes kind of ruined it, but I am interested to see which direction the show's gonna take

My Mum downgraded the Virgin box so I have no more Comedy Central (:(), read the plot of 'You're Getting Old' on Wikipedia and, wow, sounds sad but epic.

Can I ask, was there any sign of Kenny in this ep? And how did they acknowledge the show's recent un-funnyness?

Just saw it online, wow, was upsetting. Shame this could be the end... :(

I definitely laughed most at how Stan saw the movie trailers..."Fuck you you'll go see it!"

Just saw the episode. Pretty good amount of laughs (particularly the movie trailer scene; "Whatever, you'll go pay to see it, fuck you!").  And the ending was pretty sad, very finale-ish. :(

I too would like to see what happens next. Contractually, there are another 7 episodes left for season 15. But if Parker and Stone release some statement saying they want to end it now, then I respect and understand their decision, and I enjoyed the laughs.

I don't think they'd leave it just like that. Hardly anything was resolved. Infact nothing was.

Here's my theory:

I realize it's probably wrong but I just don't see why they would change up the formula of a show after 14 successful seasons.

This last episode made me very sad.....which is totally the first time for south park. I hope Trey's doing okay, cos let's not forget Stan is his avatar and he might be going through an existential crisis...."You're Getting Old" seems like a message to himself.

I know there's other eps after this but this story isn't over...and there's 2 seasons left in the contract...

I still lol'd a lot at how they metaphorically made fun of dubstep and called it on what it is, shit, dubstep is terrible and i'm not even old enough to be in the category of people who yell about newer music.

I think this is just another Season 8, like when the guys were stressed with making Team America, now it's the Book of Mormon. Hopefully they'll recover after this year.

Fun Fact: Season 8 is my favourite. :D

Hah.

I think he just meant that they were working on other projects at the same time.

If they're burnt-out they should probably just let the show rest. There's only so many things you can make fun of in a week until they all start repeating themselves. It would be silly to continue making the show if they can't think of enough decent material each week, and if they've got bigger and better and more un-cut things to do they should do that. I have all the dvds to re-watch, if they keep making more I'll have to keep spending my money, but I won't if the show becomes more of what most episodes of this season were :nono:

I hope Matt and Trey deliberately commit suicide shortly after they produce the next episode in which their characters commit suicide as a cruel sick joke to those that would enjoy more of that which has tired them into the desire of an endless slumber because it would mean the death of this show for now and always. :)

I actually really liked the episode. The show needs to move along. In the same vein, I hope it ends soon, they seem to be running out of original stories for the characters in the current story status quo (as in, see how they shook things up in this episode to keep it fresh).

I wish they'd just go back to before Season 11, before they started taking the mick out of everyday modern TV and internet and stuff, and just make their own funny stories like Trapper Keeper and It Hits the Fan and stuff. :(

mostly about the book of Mormon, they briefly mentioned the latest SP episode and how people asked them how they were doing. I remember Trey and Matt being asked similar questions back during the Trapped in the Closet/Bloody Mary backlash

Are you sure it wasn't a rerun? Matt and Trey were on the Daily Show a month or so ago talking about The Book Of Mormon.

Edit: Just checked, and it's not...I don't think I've ever seen the same guests on the show twice in such a small period of time.

It was probably a rerun.  I'm sure Matt and Trey are still ready for the ultimate practical joke ever. :)
