Since money is REALLY tight these days, instead of traveling I've been watching the Travel Channel on Cable.  My favorite show is Anthony Bourdain: "No Reservations".  Anyone else been watching this show, and, if so, what do you think?  What's your favorite episode?

Actually I have.  It's why I've been watching his show; I find his brand of snarky yet right on the money societal & cultural observations to be absolutely hilarious.

I love this show! I contemplated making a thread but I decided not to. Tony
Bourdain is the man!  My favorite episode is the viewer mail or the korea one cuz his host is an absolute lunatic

I've got a couple of favorite shows.  First one is the Romanian show with his buddy Zamir, where Zamir hurts his back & gets drunk (Zamir ripped & singing "happy birthday, Mr. President" to a sausage is not to be missed).  Love the dialog, where he says "this show pretty much went to hell from the get-go; now watch, gentle viewer, as it comes completely off the rails".  Pretty much anything with Zamir in it (ex - the Rustbelt show) is a good one.  Another is his Hawaii show, because he hit most of the hotspots that I see every summer when I go to Oahu for 9 days.  Another favorite of mine is the Korea show with his associate producer Nari Kye; another favorite is the Saudia Arabia show with his contest winner Dania.  Finally, I really enjoyed the one in the Greek Islands; "the greek islands; now with 100% more frolicking!"  Great stuff.

I thought the Saudi Arabia show was terrible. She had spent most of her life in America, didn't seem to care for a lot of traditional Saudi food, and took him to some lame, could-be-anywhere spots. A mall? A fried chicken joint?

If I recall correctly, I enjoyed Washington D.C., Hawai'i was interesting, Brazil, Texas (especially along the border)... and the one where he stayed in New Jersey was pretty cool. I can't remember a lot of the episdes I've seen. I find those with heavy drinking pretty enjoyable, I should add.

I guess I found the Saudi Arabia show funny due to his commentary ("Let's get the stunt camel", "No way I'm eating Mr. Humpy here").  I forgot about the New Jersey show; that was pretty good.

Yeah; he's always ripping on Rachael Ray & making jokes about Andrew Zimmern.  Funny stuff.
