Is this the best show ever or what? My favorite part is when the baby talks. That was so cute and hilarious.

Thanx cellery :), sounds scary and the talking baby idea sounds like a Family Guy rip off.

That is scary beyond all reason. Its like live rugrats, or that movie about babies who talked. Whoever invented this show should be bitchslapped back to the stone age!

Sounds rather lame to me, I hope it doesn't end up on TV here.

TV series based on popular movies are usually awful enough; this is a TV series based on a moderately popular commercial. Thank God the Wendy's "Where's The Beef" campaign didn't happen today...

I hate ANYTHING that takes a real baby and "animates" it. So this show utterly disgusts me.

Otis, there were crappy shows and movies about talking babies way before Family Guy.

For those who don't know, Baby Bob is like Look Who's Talking meets Baby Talk meets Look Who's Talking Too meets Baby Geniuses. Times two!

And yes, the baby is pretty damn scary. I'm no girl, but can you imagine breast feeding that thing? That has to be uncomfortable to say the least.

Ew!  Sheesh, now you've got me all paranoid about talking babies.  Thank God I've got like ten years til I have to deal with that kind of thing.  :D

For giggles I give pregnant women the It's Alive series and Rosemary's Baby on VHS. If I know them personally, I also get 'em The Omen IV and The Unborn II.

Did you ever get the feeling that you could think up at least 4,000 better show formats than the people who get paid to come up with crapola like this?

Even if the show DID last, in a year or so the baby will grow and learn to talk on his own. Just think, in ten years he'll be 11 and they'll STILL use CG to make him talk.

Bob: Mom! It's not that amazing anymore...I'm 11 for Christ's sake!

If I recall correctly, Baby Bo(o)b scored 11th place in the Nielsens. Get used to it being around for a while...

Then you're in luck.  Fox is sure to launch "When open wounds scab up" any day now!   ;)

Thanks Fishy Joe!  I was racking my brain trying to think of that "Look Who's Talking" TV Series.  It was Baby Talk.  As I recall, in the later episodes you could see baby Mickey's mouth moving (as he was obviously babbling) and they just muted his actual babbling sounds and replaced it with "baby talk."  That show lasted all of two years.  I'll be generous and predict that Baby Bob will have a similar run.

Yeah but at least we have the "they fucked around with our timeslot" excuse. XFL had the same timeslot/promotion for its entire run. There's no possible way to rationalize...millions of people tuned in and obviously hated it.

Indeed. Futurama once got double the ratings it pulls in now, why Fox would move it around into shitty timeslots is beyond me. The Simpsons isn't going to last forever, and Futurama was the heir apparent. Had Fox left it where it was, this cancellation nonsense wouldn't have happened.    :nono:

Sera looked this up for another ("General Disscussion" ) thread, but the real reason for the whole "pre-emption > hiatus > cancellation" conspiracy lies here--

This isn't a cancellation...it's a murder
