It's just a show that profits off theatre sports, basically.
This topic is perfectly valid. There is no other topic about this show.
Doesn't mean we *need* a whole thread about it. Mostly because so few people actually watch it, it wouldn't fill up pages and pages of discussion.
This pretty much covers any Australian TV show.
Why are the American series so well-known but Australian series aren't? And when they are, the Americans will have to steal it. Like with Kath and Kim. With this show too.
Yes, meeeeeeeeeerge to the other thread!
What? Well it's probably because Australian TV is mostly covered by American TV shows. USA shows are more well known merely because they hold a much larger proportion over the market than anyone else. It's where the money and people are. And, more networks over there.
The American's didn't "steal" Kath & Kim. Wrong word. We sold them a franchise of the name. Just like so many other shows these days that have their own versions in their own countries - particularly reality tv shows, just to name one like Next Top Model. That's in something like 30 countries!! It's crazy.
This thread should really just be the Aussie TV thread. Which I'm sure we once had, but of course can't be bothered bumping because we honestly don't produce anything worth talking about at length. The TV test thread is enough for the one or two comments that is needed towards the topic.
