I liked the fact that they didn't show directly what was in the Doctor's room. Initially I figured that his greatest fear would be his death at Lake Silencio. Since it keeps cropping up.
I thought that too, but he's seen so much and done so much, the Lake Silencio thing is pretty recent, I thought it wouldn't bother him too much. The music that played when he opened the door has been in the series before, can't remember where though... Someone said it was from an ep with the Master...

Anyone know if Amy and Rory are gonna be in the ep with Craig? I really, really hope they're not. I need a break from the ginger.
Uuuuh... I don't think so. I think they are in ep 12... I know for a fact they are in ep 13. But yeah, I think they leave again in ep 13, then come back in like 2 years or whatever.

Which ep was the one where he couldn't do the Rubiks cube? And do you have a link to that forum/thread?

@Nutmeg:I saw the apple as a clue that it's the Ganger in this episode, the cube as a clue that they switched places somewhere along the way, maybe more than once. I think it was Ganger Doctor that touched down in Leadworth, and will die at Lake Silencio. "Our" Doctor is still out there, for my money. Doing whatever he set off to do when he left Demon's Run (the resurrection of the Ganger seems likely to have been one of the first tasks there). He and the Ganger switched places at some point, but have since swapped back again. Complex!
It'll come together at the end of the season, and there will be a revelation that we'll all be wondering why we didn't spot coming. Hopefully the Silence will be revealed a little more, and we'll get the next season being about them, because to be perfectly honest I'm getting tired of the mystery always being about the Doctor now. I liked it when the mystery was something that the Doctor solved.
I wanted Rita to go with them in the TARDIS, too. Poor Rita.
I want the Doctor to pick up some new companions, mainly because Amy and Rory, I think, need to rest for a few seasons. Build up a nice comfortable life for the Doctor to forcibly yank them out of when he returns to them again. I'd also like to see the Doctor cross paths with the Silastic Armourfiends of Striterax. But that's another kettle of fish altogether. @Danny... I hope we do get a short break where the Doctor picks up some new companions. It'd be nice to see him take an alien for few trips in the TARDIS for once. I'd love a one-shot where the Doctor meets a friendly Dalek, and the two solve some improbable mess on an alien planet somewhere. The Doctor names him Steve or something. The two part as friends, and the next time we see Daleks, the Doctor is all "hey, do you guys know Steve?" I'm guessing that'll never happen.

When wil Martha come back? Did something happen to her in Torchwood or something? The Doctor just kind of abandoned her.

James Corden isn't the best actor around, (not that his acting is bad, he's just a little annoying) but I liked him in 'The Lodger'.

It's Gallifrey Base. You'd need to register.
Done. Now to hunt this thread down. Found. And pretty quickly. Wow. I impressed myself.

2. The rubix cube. We saw in a previous Ep that he couldn't solve it, yet in this episode he manages to. I wouldn't term this a continuity error by itself. It's much more likely that once confronted with this weakness, the Doctor took it upon himself to learn how to solve the cube, and succeeded. However, taking into account the apple....

I didn't like Craig the first time I saw him, I really didn't. But having watched that episode again it's grown on me. He's just an everyday kinda guy and that's what I like about him. He's nothing special, he's not like the companions who somehow have this amazing ability to overcome things. He's just Craig. Also: . Here's hoping they're better than the last times.

Hey, you never know. After all wasn't there an episode of Battlestar Galactica (1980) where essentially this happened with Starbuck and a Cylon centurion?

Obvious conclusion, and quite clearly:
You never know. 15 Teasers on 'Closing Time'Like The Lodger, It’s a more of a fun episode with some very funny lines. But there are also couple of good scares The Cybermen aren’t in it for that long really, but it’s longer than they were in A Good Man Goes to War Karen Gillan and Arthur Darvill are still in the opening credits. Just saying The Cybermen are peeping toms! The Doctor is in love with Craig and he really wants him to know it “I am through saving them.” The Doctor – Here to help Craig is a pervert Meet Stormageddon, the Doctor’s new best friend “…A beam me up… Star Trek teleport” “Come along bitey” For the girl who’s tired of waiting The Doctor can speak the ancient language of baby A familiar plot solution saves the day The last few scenes are very, very exciting and another big question is finally answered Sounds dissapointing yet awesome.

Heres some info on the new Christmas Story this year This has been issued by the official BBC Website, Notice how they dont announce Karen or Arthur's return.
Doctor Who Christmas Special Starring:
Matt Smith, Claire Skinner, Bill Bailey, Arabella Weir and Alexander Armstrong
1 x 60' drama produced by BBC Wales for BBC One
Cardiff, 21 September 2011: Production has started on the 2011 Doctor Who Christmas Special in which the Doctor (Matt Smith) finds himself in war-torn England embarking on a magical and mysterious adventure with a young widow and her two children.
A stellar guest cast including Claire Skinner (Outnumbered), Bill Bailey (Black Books), Arabella Weir (The Fast Show) and Alexander Armstrong (Armstrong & Miller), join Matt Smith in the emotional festive special, packed full of Christmas thrills and chills.
Steven Moffat, Lead Writer and Executive Producer, commented: "The Doctor at Christmas - nothing is more fun to write. Maybe because it's so his kind of day - everything's bright and shiny, everybody's having a laugh, and nobody minds if you wear a really stupid hat. Of all the Doctors, Matt Smith's is the one that was born for this time of year - so it's the best news possible that he's heading back down the chimney."
The special, set during World War II, sees Madge Arwell and her two children, Lily and Cyril, evacuated to a draughty old house in Dorset, where the caretaker is a mysterious young man in bow tie, and a big blue parcel is waiting for them under the tree. They are about to enter a magical new world and learn that a Time Lord never forgets his debts... Claire Skinner said: "I am thrilled to be in Doctor Who playing Madge who is a bit of super-mum. It's a magical part."
This marks Matt Smith's second outing as the Doctor at Christmas time and will follow hot on the heels of the successful 2011 series, currently airing on BBC One until October.
The Christmas special was commissioned by Ben Stephenson, Controller, BBC Drama and Danny Cohen, Controller BBC One. Steven Moffat is Lead Writer and Executive Producer with Piers Wenger and Caroline Skinner, also executive producing. Filming on the Christmas special will continue until mid October 2011.

Spoilers for the Final episode named The Wedding of River Song The Radio Times has confirmed speculation, here, that Simon Callow is returning as Charles Dickens in Doctor Who 613 The Wedding of River Song, with a lot more...
We have Minis suspended by air balloons, pterodactyls attacking school kids, a train emerging Magritte-like from London’s Gherkin building and Charles Dickens (Simon Callow) discussing A Christmas Carol with Bill Turnbull and Sian Williams on BBC Breakfast. Add to that Winston Churchill hailed as Caesar in present-day London and the Doctor shambling about like a bearded apostle. And all this in the first few minutes.
“Something’s happened to time,” spots Winnie. It’s as if “all of history is happening at once”. The time is two minutes past five and the date is 22 April; so it has been for as long as anyone can remember. Can the Lord of Time sort things out, or did he cause the problem in the first place?
The Wedding of River Song necessarily leads us back to the events of The Impossible Astronaut and the Doctor’s demise at Lake Silencio in Utah, but this shocking moment acts as a pivot, not a dead end, for Moffat’s finale and a barrage of bewildering and bizarre imagery that spools forth.
A few things to look out for: pyramids, fixed points in time, “hell in high heels”, “the man who dies again and again”, a phone call with tear-jerking news, an unusual use for a bow tie, a plethora of eye-patches (surely inspired by the late Nicholas Courtney’s favourite anecdote) and a lapse in grammar when River talks of “theories about you and I”. source
