One of my favorite parts is when Rory asks the Doctor if he has a room.

Never!

Yeah, that's a nice bit. We'll never know, but I think he has a room full of bowties.

Because bowties are cool.

The title for episode has been confirmed, but it's heavily spoiler tagged for safety precautions.

Spoiler tag all spoilers and potential spoilers, while discussing Doctor Who.

Now comes the argument from certain quarters as to what constitutes a "potential spoiler". roll eyes

Okay, if anyone considers this as a spoiler tell me and I'll tag it, but it really doesn't seem like a big deal:

Someone asked Steven Moffat:

"Are we going to see any more aliens or characters from the original series?

He said: 'Yes.'

That seems like a pretty big given anyway. I doubt there was anyone who didn't assume that even if he didn't say it.

A fair few "What the fuck?" moments from myself. Otherwise solid and thoroughly enjoyable. River was brilliantly played and the interactions between herself and The Doctor were as wonderful as always.

I could even tolerate Amy in this episode, so a belter all around.

Yeah same with me and River....she's so annoying usually but I could tolerate her here because we were learning about her and why she's like that.

Yes, but they left their vehicle. It still looked like River. So there is a robotic River in Berlin.

Also, nice to see Rose, Donna and Martha, it seems Moffat has forgotten they exist ever since Matt came along. frown

So I enjoyed the episode, though I was surprised to find it plot-heavy; hadn't really watched most of the preview stuff, and I was expecting an ep about, well, killing or not killing hitler, a fun side-romp not directly related to the major arcs.

I believe the events of "Let's Put Hitler in a Cupboard" might just have given us an excuse for 12 more Doctors. Well, probably less, depends how they work it but it still deserves a "whooo!"

And I'm pretty sure we can put speculation about an already aired episode outside the spoiler tags. If this were a DW forum, it would be different, but it isn't so I think we should give our users the assumed common sense not to look at this thread until they've seen "Let's Put Hitler in a Cupboard" - I avoided it for about 4 hours until I'd actually seen it.

Danny: Given your love for spoilerization, I'd like to know if you even enjoyed this episode, given that you know more about what is to come than our protagonists.

I lol'd at Amy thinking Rory was gay big grin

That was actually a minor peeve of mine. She assumed he was gay because he never demonstrated any attraction to women? Um, how could you reasonably make that assumption if he never demonstrated any attraction to men either?

Something that bugged me even more: I never, ever, thought that the Doctor would stand for someone bringing a gun into his TARDIS with hostile intent. Sure, it turned out to be obfuscating stupidity and he eventually brought the entire situation under his control with his super observing skills and a banana, but that doesn't change the fact that it did go off while in the console room, and it could have hit anyone by mistake.

Also, I am somewhat disappointed that the episode didn't end with a scene showing Hitler still locked in the cupboard.

Kind of makes me want to stop bothering with my incredibly tall picture showing images from each story. Speaking of which I've finished William Hartnell and now on to Patrick Traughton. I'm flabbergasted that the episodes either side of that regeneration are lost, surely someone should have noticed it was quite a momentous thing.

Picture so far:
