If you watch any of the old ones, make sure you see The Happiness Patrol. :)

Watch Remembrance of the Daleks first! Its' better!

I've tried watching several of the old serial episodes...couldn't make it through a single one.

Clearly the new series improved upon the show 100%. I have no desire to force myself to tolerate any more of the old serial.

The new series occasionally reaches the quality of the old series.

Josh Tomb of the Cybermen is one of the best episodes produced so far, and it was back in the black-and-white era. :nono:

I need to set aside time to watch the old Serials. They seem like fun, to be honest. Especially Dalek Invasion of Earth :p

They're still finding Dalek props that were lost underwater during the filming of that serial. :shifty:

It seems I was mistaken. The scene of a Dalek rising from the water in Invasion of Earth made me confuse the date in this article I read two years ago. It was actually from one of Colin Baker's stories in the eighties.

My respect for him and his reasons for leaving have certainly gone up a notch since reading that. Although there's some true idiocy in the comments... seems that not everybody who comments bothers reading the article.

Doctor number 9 will always be up there with the greats. Eccleston nailed it.

As much as I prefer Matt, Eccleston really was fantastic in the short time he was on the show. I thoroughly enjoy his performance in all the episodes, and he's the high point in all the episodes that I don't enjoy as much.

It's rare to find actors with that sort of integrity. Leonard Nimoy is one of the only others I can name.

Saw the Trailer, it raises many questions.

None of which I'm going to bother posting here. I'll just speculate in my head.

Everything seen in the trailer that raises questions really depends on what angle you've taken for the characters - mostly about River, I'll admit.

Does 'anymore' mean since Matt Smith became the Doctor or since they brought it back in 2005?

Now for controversy: I'm currently watching all the episodes with Adric in, and I actually don't think he's that bad.

I don't mind spoilers, as long as they're in tags and it's made clear that there is a spoiler in them, like you just did.

Warning! Genuine spoiler in these tags:

Flawless except it insists that the tenth encountered the Silurians (when you look at the cross reference with the third, fifth and eleventh).

And poor Paul with his diddy little line :(

Huh, I never noticed that... Ten's line was so bloody long it hurt my eyes trying to take it all in.

And yeah, gotta feel sorry for him, though he did get to play with The Master.

But Patrick Troughton didn't, and that's another thing that shows up when you look at the Master cross reference. Come on, buck your ideas up, Mr Map Maker!

Just remembered he did in The Five Doctors. I was operating on the fact that the first Master appearance was in the Pertwee years. But the Silurian error still stands I think unless there's some non-televised meeting that's been alluded to.

Well, there are the animated episodes and all the radio plays, and the videogames...the tenth doctor was in a SHITTON of non-televised stories, so it's very likely he may have encountered them in one of those.

It isn't an error on the map itself, just when you highlight the third, fifth and eleventh for some reason it says tenth as well. But ten's line never actually goes to the Silurian station and the Silurian station isn't on ten's individual line.

And I'm pretty sure the map is based on TV stories and nothing else.

That aside, I don't really want to know how it happens or be given anymore clues until the show airs again... I like to speculate myself!
