Check out this list of teasers the BBC released about Episodes 5 and 6 (The Rebel Flesh and The Almost People): -Described as Avatar meets The Thing -An old converted monastery is mining acid -The Flesh is programmable matter -There is a bad, scary monster at the end -The Flesh creatures are very scary -Amy has a secret -Rory is worried about losing Amy -These episodes are a pivotal part of this year’s story arc -Some whispered words in the second half of the story will have “mind-blowing significance” -Huge surprises, including the chance to hear “some voices from the past” -Ends on a massive cliffhanger that spin us off into the mid-series finale Wow. Epic. Here are the episodes summed up: Meet The Flesh. A shimmering pool of gelatinous white matter, threaded with veins like an eyeball. Step into the alcove, strap yourself into the harness, and the Flesh can take your form. You can control the cloned drone like a puppet, performing dangerous tasks without putting yourself in danger.
That’s what’s happening in the monastery where the TARDIS crash-lands. And all things considered, it’s going pretty well. As long as the Flesh doesn’t start having ideas of its own…

I wasnt that impressed with this last episode to be honest. I liked the idea, but meh. Also (I'll put it in spoilers in case anyone hasnt seen the episode yet): Why didnt the Doctor do more to stop those first crew members from "Dying"? Here they are, walking to the siren for their death, and he barely lifts a finger to stop them. And when Amy is trying to save Rory, and seemingly fails? The Doctor does nothing but watch from the sidelines. Why's he been so apathetic this season in terms of death?"

BBC radio 4 just aired a program on When Douglas Met the Doctor. When Douglas Adams was in charge, however briefly, of scripts at Doctor Who. He was there for about a year. He was extremely creative but really undisciplined and many of his scripts made it into the show.
And at Uni he wrote a play called Doctor Which a spoof of Who.

The Curse of the Black spot was just boring to me. I'm getting tired of Doctor Who using bloody markings for everything. Like, "mysterious markings just appeared on my skin oh no" is just laughable now. The Siren (appropriately played by Lily Cole) was absolutely foul! Well, I suppose that's the reaction you want for a monster (even though it turns out she was a program/holographic nurse... thing...) . I'm starting to think the little girl might be River Song's and the Doctor's, and that this odd pregnancy storyline around Amy is meant to just throw us off.

10 juicy teasers for 'The Doctor's Wife'... •We learn all about a previously unmentioned Time Lord, the Corsair. •“I’ve just had a new idea about kissing!” •The Doctor doesn’t always get where he wants to go, but he always ends up where he needs to be. •At one point, we see a very different side to Rory. •A very big question about regeneration is finally answered. •We learn exactly how long the Doctor has been travelling in time and space. •Amy is the “orangey girl” and Rory is the “pretty one”. •Think you’re safe inside the Tardis? Think again! •“Did you wish really hard?” • Idris has a very important message for the Doctor.

All I need to know is that it's a Doctor Who episode, that it's written by Neil Gaiman, and that the Doctor utters the line: Even though all this probably doesn't mean what I would like it to mean, it is still likely to be pretty amazing.

*Grumble Mutter Insult Grumble* ALSO, 20 Teasers/Spoilers from 'The Rebel Flesh'! 1. It’s this season’s most trad-Who episode so far, but whereas last year’s “trad” story (the Silurian two-parter) was Pertwee era, this is straight out of the Troughton years. Appropriately Matt Smith is at his most Troughton-esque.
2. It also evokes memories of “The Impossible Planet”. There’s a lot of exposition to start with, but it soon becomes very pacy claustrophobic, creepy and full of powerful, well-written character moments for the guest stars and striking images.
3. The pre-titles teaser is frankly disturbing
4. Accident Direct could have to rethink their policies in this world
5. Rory fails to score a double
6. There’s lots and lots of shaky acting
7. There’s a surprising selection of pop songs
8. The Doctor uses his sonic screwdriver when simply reading would suffice
9. The Doctor reveals he’s a fan of someone
10. The Doctor pretends to be a weatherman
11. The Doctor has a great Derren Brown moment
12. Random words: “Poncy”, “cockerel”, “welly-boots”, “football”
13. The Doctor loses two of something
14. The Doctor says something again we’ve never heard him say before
15. Beware the oncoming storm
16. Someone builds a castle
17. There’s a moment straight out of The Thing, and another one straight out of Death Becomes Her
18. Someone’s first words are a big clue
19. Rory puts his foot down
20. The Doctor clearly isn’t from the North any more! I expect the very first teaser should make you pleased Xanfor.

Try to keep comments on broadcast episodes; not gossip about future episodes.
I really enjoyed The Doctor's Wife; the central idea was great but so simple that I'm amazed it hadn't been used before... it was also nice to see some more of the Tardis and to have an episode filmed in a quarry; just like the classic series!

But that defies the purpose of a Doctor Who thread Tweek, which is to talk about Doctor Who in general, not JUST the current ep, unless you want me to create a seperate one called 'Future Eps & Spoilers of Doctor Who Thread'... Also, MORE Rebel Flesh teasers! This episode features the music of both Muse and Dusty Springfield. The Doctor loses a pair of shoes. “No need to get poncey – it’s just gunge.” The Doctor’s Northern accent isn’t quite as convincing as it used to be. One sequence is reminiscent of The Exorcist. There’s a particularly unpleasant moment in a bathroom. “I’ve got to get to that cockerel before all hell breaks loose!” The Doctor uses a microwave to prove a point. “It would seem the storm has ******** your *******.” “Trust me.” And here’s a few more that we compiled from some of this week’s TV magazines: The solar tsunami sets the clones free Jennifer (Sarah Smart) takes a shine to Rory The Doctor battles to prevent a war between humans and their gangers The TARDIS crew will not know who to trust The clones share the physical form, memories, genetic make-up and clothes of their ‘originals’
