That was amazing. The Tardis is quite similar, i was hoping for something more drastic, but wow, everything else is so different. Matt Smith is brilliant, he's already so... doctory...

I liked it overall. I was worried at first, but I'll admit that Matt Smith makes a pretty good Doctor. I like the tweed and bowtie. Seems like a good season, just as long as Amelia's boyfriend/fiancé doesn't join them on the Tardis. I liked the new cinematic direction, although the odd camera work that they did this episode (like the Doctor somehow being able to look through every camera) was annoying. When they were flashing through all the Doctors, did anybody see Eccleston or Tennant?

They were shown in order, CE and DT were 9th and 10th on screen.

This little exchange warmed my heart:

Doctor: Went solo for a while but started talking to myself, gave me earache.

Amy: You're lonely, just that.

Doctor: Just that. Promise.

Might we finally be free of the pointless sexual tension that plagued the RTD era?

Yeah, they showed the Docs in order. I recognised CE, but DT didn't really look like himself at all.

Aw, I enjoyed it.

Love the line about not know what he was just doing cause he thinks a lot.
Loved the Liz X thing and the line "I'm the bloody queen mate, basically, I rule".

The Doctors anger about her making the decision for him was a little lame, came on to quickly.

But still liked it.

I rather enjoyed the episode, sure the Star Whale name wasn't great but it is in a series which is largely aimed at children.

It was my only complaint really. That and they said the name about a dozen times, it tainted an otherwise good story.

Whellll, I'd say, given its origins, the name "Star Whale" probably sounds more realistic than spending ages trying to come up with an appropriate alternative.

Oh I don't know. It wasn't too bad, but it did seem a bit too contrived and the storyline paced almost too quickly in my mind. Not as good as last week's, in my opinion, but still liking it.

I love that the Daleks are back, hooray for the evil. I liked the episode too it was good.

I like the slight change in how they look makes them looks a bit more menacing, though trying to figure out why they have different colors...

Because they used to have different colours. The white ones are Imperial daleks, the blue ones are information officers, the red ones are commandos, and the yellow ones are controllers, etc. Different rank = different colour.

Love the new eyepieces, but disappointed the British Army daleks got blown up. Those guys were awesome. "WOULD YOU CARE FOR A SPOT OF TEA?"

i thought the episode was a bit "search for spock" abandoning one story's quality to bring back another

also it was not a jammy dodger, it was a jam ring!

Questions! Who was the boyfriend of the brunette radio lady? He got two mentions, surely that's something. "Reg" I think it was. Also, what is going on at the same time as this, Is this when Jack Met the Real Jack in Torchwood? Also, aren't rose and the 9th doctor kicking about somewhere too?

How does a Dalek make tea?

By pressing the button on the machine. I'm more concerned about how it puts it on a tray and arranges the biscuits in a nice overlapping crescent shape as all good tea boys should.

Chay's questions:
I assume we're dealing with different days of the blitz and it appears there might be some sort of retcon going on, since Amy cant remember the Daleks. Curious...

it was not a jammy dodger, it was a jam ring!

True, and, let's face it, the heart shaped centre of a jammy dodger wouldn't have fooled the Daleks for long at all.

I'm guessing that the crack has something to do with that. It seems to be following the Doctor.

I must have missed Daleks having different colors or just completely forgot. I remember the one red Dalek in Journey's End but that's the only colored one I can remember I don't even remember seeing any in the older episodes I've seen either.

I think the different coloured Daleks appeared in the films staring Peter Cushing.

I think the crack is connected to Amy rather than The Doctor, much like "Bad Wolf" was to do with Rose.

Correct. However, they'd been around since the B+W serials, and the models from the films were bought by the BBC since they kept blowing daleks up at a frantic rate and needed replacements. The films established that the colours give some indication of function.

I disagree. Steven Moffat isn't (hopefully) going to recycle RTD's old shit.
