I heard rumors that there is going to be an all new The Simpsons special coming on based on all of the Simpsons Butterfinger shorts. Has anyone heard anything more on this?

We'll probably see this around the time the "Noid" movie comes out.

What the hell does the original post even mean?  A Simpsons special WHAT?  And why would it be based on Butterfinger candies?  My head hurts, I think I'll go out and get some Butterfingers.  Mmmmm... Butterfingers...

B.Frankendorfer, what I meant by it was that the special will show each of the Betterfinger Commercials featuring The Simpsons thus far and maybe they will talk to some people about it. Now, like I said it was just a rumor, it's not set in stone. This is what the hell I mean. Also, totalnerduk, what do you mean you smell spam? If you are implying that me posting this thing about a possible Simpsons Special was spam, I have to disagree with you. This forum is titled 'It's Got a TV!' and it says underneath it that we can talk about things unrelated to Futurama.

Okee dokee, I understand now.  That would actually be pretty cool to see a compilation of all the Butterfinger commercials they made.

BTW-Don't take my style of speaking before the wrong way.  I meant nothing personal by my tone of typing.  I was just being goofy.  :)

I hope they make this thing, I'm from the UK and have never seen a Butterfinger commercial. I heard that the Season Two DVD set would have some as extras aswell.

I hate the idea of making a half-hour show consisting of nothing but commercials. It sounds like just the kind of cheap programming that FOX loves.

Fox has done many commercial compilation shows, with James Brown (the football guy) hosting it. Quality programming! I'd hate to see the Simpsons go that low, since the Butterfinger ads work well in a 20 second spot, but not for 22 minutes. I've put up a sample commercial for those who haven't seen them yet so you can get an idea of what they're like.

I was thinking that it would be added as an extra on one of the upcoming DVDs.  I know they are putting a few of them on the Season Two set.

I wouldn't want to watch it on network TV, but I think it's a nice nostalgic thing for a DVD or video extra.

Sounds pretty lame. I never liked those commercials. Will they also include the 1-800-COLLECT commercial, or is this a gay Nestle sponsored thing?

There are a lot of Butterfinger Simpsons bits made, but I think the special should be a half-hour long, not a full hour. What are they gonna talk about, besides Butterfinger?

Wasn't there a Simpson's episode with Applesauce bars, and Homer was climbing the murderhorn cuz he had the power of apples?
I will agree with Cellery 110% - a new low. I won't watch.

oh incase anyone is wondering "what the heck does that have to do with anything?"
I'm comparing the over exaggerated necessity of importance from Nestle with that of the Applesauce bars company.
Ummm..that still doesn't sound right.
