That game (Friday the 13th) was awesome, if you put aside how much it sucked.

I never played Friday the 13th

Yes. I hated Friday the 13th. You are supposed to kill Jason, but with what? You're armed with a stupid rock. C'mon, camp counselors are supposed to have better weapons in their tool shed. You're just lucky if you jump up and pick up an invisible weapon along the way.

Haha, good call, DrT. I actually kind of like it in a "hey look, I used to waste my time playing this piece of crap" type of way. It's cool to play it every once in a while just for the memories. But looking at the game objectively, it sucks.

True that.  Speaking of movies that got turned into video games, I've been demo-ing the Die Hard game, and it's looking pretty sweet.  Unfortunately, if the come out with a Die Hard II game it will probably suck, since that movie was lame as hell.

The Batman games got kinda repetitive when you knew it was all gonna be side-scrolling action. It has a nice flair from Final Fight, but it lacks in replay.

Wasn't ET for Atari that one game that was suposedly so bad they threw most of the copies in a landfill, or is it another version of ET.

Yep, that's the one. Of course, I owned a copy.   :puke:

It was all I had, until I got some decent games like Berserk and Vanguard...

Couldn't have been much worse than the Raiders of the Lost Ark game(although maybe I only hated it because I lost the instructions and had no idea what to do).

Anyone remember the old Smurfs atari game? I know, that was a tv show and not a movie, but screw you. It was a good game.

Most of the Star Wars games are pretty good.

I agree. The star wars games have pretty decent graphics, too.

I found a PC version of that, unfortunately it was writen for clock speeds in the single figures, running it on my old 233Mhz was rather funny if fruitless.  :hmpf:

One of the first games with vector graphics I remember is tail gunner.  I don't know if it is the same game though.

Only vector graphics games I remember playing were Tempest and the Star Wars one. I spent most of my time playing that hologram game, Time Traveler. I remember everyone had to pass their hand through the hologram as I was playing it, that was annoying. Not really back on topic, but Tomb Raider was made into a decent movie. Angelina Jolie was easy on the eyes, and "filled out" the role nicely.    :laff:

I don't think there's a phrase in that statement I don't disagree with.

Well don't shoot them, that only complicates things.  The wire cutters are on the floor at the very end of the level (the last room).

No offense...but "Congo" and "The Shadow."

Hollywood has been endlessly trying to develop "Tekken" and "SoulCaliber" into movies. "SoulCaliber" may be filming as I type this. If they succeed, it will be the Seventh Sign of Prophecy and the End Times shall be upon us.

They'll be like the "Mortal Kombat" and "Street Fighter" movies.  I shudder at the thought.

A resident Evil film could work. Then again, that's what I said about Tomb Raider.  :nono:
