Very nice movie. A fitting end to the Gou'ld saga.

Do wish that there was more from the other system lords. Would have been nice to see Ra and Apophis kick some ass...

I guess we were thinking different things. I was thinking that he was going to become the captain because he stayed in 1939.

I hate to say it, but my level of enthuseasm for Atlantis has waned steadily since SG-1 ended.

I mean, for god's sake, they put Woolsey in charge and he basically let john and rodney run the show while he cracked under the pressure. Kindof pathetic, really.

So I'm not too broken up about the Atlantis news. And remember that between piracy and the proliferation of DVRs, we're pretty much strangling ad-sponsored television to death. If they find they make more money on DVDs, they're gonna make more DVDs.

...

So they don't hate you, nix; they just want more of your money than they are currently getting.

You're my friend, Rodney, probably the best one I've had in a long time. I like talking to you, hanging out with you, and I even like listening to you complain about dumb stuff. And now that you've pointed it out, I think I might like trying sex with you.

Dr. Rodney McKay from Stargate Atlantis:
Yellow blond hair in an untidy mop that was more high school boy than professional academic. Bright blue eyes and thin framed glasses. Incredibly smooth, fair skin that screamed of a complexion blessedly free of acne and other skin problems. A fine-featured face that was more pretty than handsome with a pink-lipped mouth that already seemed heavily kissed.

Stargate Universe is a go

Thoughts:

Quote
The show will be "a little more character-based, a little less rooted in a sci-fi mythology," co-creator Brad Wright told GateWorld. "It really does come down to characters and stories that are engaging, and that people want to see -- that they feel like they haven't seen before."

So Battlestar Galactica ('04)

Quote
What starts as a simple reconnaissance turns into a never ending mission, as the Stargate Universe crew discovers the ship is unable to return to Earth, and they must now fend for themselves aboard the Destiny.

Crossed with Lost in Space.  I'm ok with that, I guess.  But,

Quote
Part of the new focus is a deliberate attempt to bring in younger viewers to watch Stargate Universe. "This is an opportunity to reinvent this franchise and make it relevant to a new generation," SCI FI president Dave Howe told The Hollywood Reporter. "We really don't want to be more of the same. It's going to build clearly off the existing franchise but with a cast that gives it a younger vibe."

Sounds like

Dammit.

Nix: wow. Just... wow. I'm speachless.

I can't believe the guys (apparently it took two of them) who uploaded that vid felt compelled to add closing credits promoting themselves. It's not like they even did a half-decent job "editing," with a good second of Jackson at the begining and Carter at the end.

6th post ever on it's got a tv, so ... are we talking about stargate sg 1? If so then I'm not in. Stargate Atlantis however, they're just way better.
You can now continue your talk about stargate movies.

Riddle me this, Batman.

Scifi cancels Atlantis and then makes the best commercial ever for it]the best commercial ever for it?  Are you familiar with the old robot saying, "DOES NOT COMPUTE"?

So, SG1 is indefinitely over.

And Atlantis and Battlestar Galactica are in the midst of their final seasons.

I literally have nothing to watch on SCI-FI until Stargate Universe and Caprica premiere, and both of those are iffy.

Fun times...

this show is going to be terrible.  What on Earth led them to think developing a cast like that could possibly be a good idea?

Although, come to think of it, having one of the crewmembers be a spoiled college girl with rich, influential parents sounds oddly familiar...  Just wait until we find out she's Chinese.

Poor Wraith, I feel sorry for them escorting humans around, it would be like trying to escort a delicious sammich around and put it in a room without taking a bite.
Especially Keller, she's like a delicious juicy sammich with a slappable butt attached, man I would eat her without hesitatin', NOM NOM NOM! :flirt:
