Oh my god I find out this morning. It is so sad. He was great in Brokeback Mountain I can never forget about him in the film.

Oh, this better not screw up The Dark Knight.  I swear, I will dig him up and kick him in the balls if it does.

...And terribly tragic.

I don't think so. TDK is already in post-production...only reshoots could be a problem. But I do wonder how they will advertise it now....

Nevertheless, it's still sad, especially should it turn out that his death was indeed 'just' an accident.  :hmpf:

There is nothing that sucks quite as much as when someone really talented dies for no good reason.

And yet, Paris Hilton just keeps right on living.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again; there's definitely something wrong with the universe...

Ledger has joined the long list of stars who have died due to possible overdose.  Marilyn Monroe, John Belushi, Chris Farley and others.  Brad Renfro was the latest before Ledger.  Renfro died over a possible overdose on Jan 15, 2008 and he was only 25.  Hollywood needs to do something since it seems now actors are overdosing and at much younger ages.

CNN mentioned that Ledger was suffering from insomnia over the fact he was playing the Joker.  Ledger claimed that was his toughest role to date.  Back in Nov, he said he was taking that sleeping drug Ambien but complained take just taking one didn't work so he probably took more than safely required.

Precisely! Being sad is the main reason I come on here and I want more of it!

I really don't think that Heath Ledger needs a thread dedicated in his honor. Sure it's sad but everytime a star dies we don't need to make a topic about it.

Just kidding.

I really liked Heath in all of the movies I saw him in. I'm really saddened by his death.

It is sad that he's gone (especially since he was here for such a short time), but death is inevitable for us all.  What really riles me is the TV shows like "Extra" and "The Insider" who keep announcing "and we've got the latest Heath Ledger updates!".  The latest updates?  THE MAN IS DEAD.  You can't update from that; they're talking about him like he's Slutney Spears or something.  It's time to say "It was really great having you here for this short time; I hope you enjoy your journey, my friend" and move on...

My friend was really torn up about his death. She also loathed how some "compared it to Anna Nicole Smith's death a while back".

I think the media did a better job than it usually does in a situation like this, atleast we don't have to deal with any crying judges or who's the baby's daddy bullshit
