I think it would be out of character for Trinity, makes him much less scary if he just goes and shoots someone, what kind of lame ass noob serial killer is he then?
I thought he would pick Lundy as his 3rd victim, I don't quite understand what him getting wailed on was about.
But Lithgow is great.

I don't see how it would be out of character for Trinity. He can clearly murder people without any real qualms, and I don't have a hard time believing that he'd break his cycle for self-preservation purposes. And by shooting he makes it look like those tourist murderers, since Lundy's pockets were rummaged through and his watch got stolen.

I think Lundy was too old to be his third victim. Also the most popular theory that I've seen (that I subscribe to as well) is that his victims are patterns of his own family: first his sister, then his mother, then his father. Shitty childhood, no doubt.

Double post deserving as a thread bump but hey, whatever.

Holy fuck. That's a game changer. And quite possibly the first time the show has ever freaked me out.

What's a game changer? Farrow?
I had an inkling that was gonna happen, and also Quinn is getting all suspicious now too.

Yeah, Farrow. He's never killed someone innocent before. That's sure to be fucking with his head.

Quinn reminds me of how much I miss Doakes. Of course the situation here is somewhat different, but I still miss Doakes.

He killed Oscar Prado who was innocent enough, but that was mostly self defence.

Oscar Prado was there to kill Freebo. If Dexter hadn't shown up, then Oscar would have been a murderer (unless Freebo overpowered him) - hardly innocent.

Though it's interesting to note that that scuffle excited him, yet this occasion makes him feel like shit.

Awesome episode, but having Oakland vs Seattle on Thanksgiving is a big fail. I hope someone was fired for that blunder!

Also, I hate that reporter and her annoying face. I hope she dies soon. :)

Oh that's your answer for everything, I hope Dexter stays on your good side or shows over! :(

I was all "whuuuaaaaat?" at the end of that one, didn't see that coming.

Both of them have been naked way too many times this year. That was probably a clue! Keep your clothes on, serial killers.

Can't Dexter get naked more often, though? I'd enjoy that. And if tits have to be shown, they could at least be the tits of characters I like.

Shallowness aside, last episode was pretty straight-forward and just kind of there, and then it went batshit, and it was incredible. I love seeing Dexter just completely lose it. It's not good for him, but it's awesome.

Trinity (or Quadinity or something now?) is a slippery rascal!

I like Christine more now, nice boobs and I sympathise with her.

Everything's so freaking tense.

Christine killed Lundy so I'll never be able to like her, ever, but I did feel kind of bad for her last episode. (Then I remembered that she killed Lundy and was happy again.)

New episode was ok, good decision to ship Astor and Cody off, for a while at least.
And I like that they keep Harry on, new killer could be interesting.

Could Quinn be the new Doakes?

*bumpsy*
Was that RoboCop in the last episode?!
And the chick from The L Word, cameos all over the place.

I like Julia Stiles new character.

Edit: Apparently I missed the animated webisodes called Dexter: Early Cuts that are supposedly a prequel to the show, pre season 1, each episode dealing with a victim.

Season 5 was definitely my least favorite so far. It definitely had its moments, in fact the first episode of the season is probably one of my favorite Dexter episodes ever, but the whole season just kinda seemed like a waste of time. After Lithgow's awesome Trinity killer, Jordan Chase as a villain was just kind of boring.

The season finale just seemed like a bunch of cop outs though. There was so much potential for interesting things to happen and none of them happened. Deb not needing to see the killers and just letting them stay behind the curtains out of view was just ridiculous to me. And the fact that Dexter has now seemingly gotten Quinn off his case by faking the blood work and clearing him bothers me, Quinn clearly still knows that Dexter was involved with Liddy's death, he can't just let that go. I really hope they continue that story next season.

As of now I rank the seasons: 2, 4, 1, 3, 5

If you enjoyed the first four seasons, then yes, I would say watch the 5th season. Not every season of a good show is going to be absolutely amazing.

Another show I started watching, In two words: Love it.

I'm pretty gripped so far so I'm gonna keep on watching two episodes a day and seeing how it goes. Came on a recommendation so I need to remember to thank the guy who introduced me to it.
