It's a strange new direction.

I'm pretty interested in where this is going though... It is really different, so it'll be great to see how it all unfolds.

That would be... a little too disturbing. (Besides, how would it work without Doakes?)

I like this, though - I like how the show and the book start in the same place and then end up going in completely different directions. It's nice to see such varying interpretations with the same characters. It's also double the Dexter, which is awesome. (Even though I haven't gotten the third book yet.)

Mmm, but it was only the first book which was the same (Except the ending...)

2nd season was entirely different to second book. Also, you could still do that story i guess, it could work with just chutsky (sp?)

Haven't read 3rd book yet either, but i think his brother is s'posed to resurface.

This is a tv thread, guy. Get out of here with your fancy books.
I've watched every episode in the last couple of weeks. I'm all caught up now.
I like the first season more than the second. I'm not really a fan of all the "Oh noes! He's gonna get caught!" moments in the 2nd season. Lila was a pretty crappy character, but I still prefer her over Debra. She annoys me in every single episode, and I pray that Dexter kills her eventually. I liked Dexter and Rita's relationship more when they weren't interested in sex. I dunno, it made them unique. Now they're just too normal.
Despite the lack of clowns, it's a pretty damn good show.

re: Sexless relationship, another reason the books are awesome, cause he's not attracted to rita, she's just a convenience, so the sexlessness suits him fine!

I remember watching the first season just so that I could complain about how rubbish it is compared to the books. Actually, it turned out to be quite a good adaptation. Michael C. Hall plays Dexter well. Chay, save yourself some time: the third book is crap.

So... With the season one episode from being over... bump?

'cause what a ride this whole thing has been. I've really loved Miguel throughout, in both stages, when he was best buddies with Dexter and when Dexter was on to him. What a great character... He really opened up a lot in Dexter, from being giddy to having a friend to a pretty severe mental breakdown for the character (re: mental office trashing) upon understanding that he'd been betrayed...

My jaw was unhinging itself at the end of tonight's episode. So good.

This show still is continuing to be awsome. I found Miguel annoying at first. Then I went to liking his relationship with Dexter. Then I went to absolutely hating him. But now I have closer. The season finale does look intense though :)

They play brother and sister on "Dexter." Now in real life, Michael C. Hall and Jennifer Carpenter are husband and wife. Hall's spokesman, Craig Bankey, said on Friday that the couple eloped in California on New Year's Eve.

Hot.  Jennifer Carpenter was pretty hot.  Now... I can't think about having sex with Dexter's sister though.... now that she's married..... to Dexter.... :(

I find this really odd. I don't find Deb that attractive. I view her more as.... butch? (Due to her character)

But they play foster siblings, so they aren't even blood-related on the show.

... That and the whole separating television/reality thing.

Hallo? Where did all the Dex fans go?
Did it suddenly become uncool to watch as soon as I started watching? Jerks! :(

Latest episode: Ooooh Dex is in big doodoo this time!

Show is AWESOME. It's never uncool to watch it.

I love love love that Lundy is back and his scenes with both Dex and Deb have been stupendous. And the last shots of the last episode has me really excited!

We're in the middle of Season 3 here in Australia. The network moved it to midnight Saturday - death slot. Bastards. It should be on at 9-am, just after the cartoons.

Obviously I love the show since it's basically about me.

That's why I don't like this show. I knew there was a reason.
Do you ever think there will come a time where a show's demographic will be you?A single target audience?

And what slot did you expect said bastards to put a show about a serial killer?

Deb is awesome. No way can she die.

... Though I really wanted Lundy to find out about Dexter fuckkkkkk.

My bet's on Trinity. It fits him more and Anton is seriously much too chill a guy to jump to things like that; it would be horribly out of character. And lame.
