Since I'm British, i don't know much of this, but how long has it gone on for and what will air on TV?

Actually yeah, good point. Surely Groening is part of the WGA. How will this e/affect the Futurama Movies or are they all completly written/well into production?

The worst part is, from what I can determine, the morons who make decisions at the studios have taken the exact same position that they did back in 1988.  They don't value writers like they should, and think they make too much money already.  What they really ought to do is get Futurama or Simpsons fans opinions on the value of great writers to the success of a project; it would open their eyes.

God, I hate the suits at studios...

Wouldn't that be cool if The Simpsons could get cancelled and Futurama season 5 comes to FOX.  Wouldn't _that_ be cool!   On an unrelated note, the new American Dad episode, "Tearjerker" wasn't shown this past Sunday.  Instead it showed a Family Guy rerun.  Could that have something to do with the writer's strike?
