It was a bit messed up and forced, but they have been away for ages. I noticed they've made an improvement with the intro (Saddam in Jail).

Apparently he was a big fan of The Fast Show so when he was over here he asked to go on it, I think he was in the Suits You sketch

Yeah, it is was in one of the final episodes. I'm surprised to hear that he was a big fan, he didn't seem that enthusiastic in the episode.

Oh, and I am really getting into Black Books. The episode last night was just great!

2DTV was very funny last night. The Finding Nemo and Beyonce joke was really funny but the best part was Sex and the city Jane Austin style.

Yes! That was great  :) I loved it when Bernard and Fran went under the table and there was a bar there!

"I see this is still called Black Books then"
"Well, I wanted to call it World Of Tights, but you know how stupid people are, you have to spell it out for them..."

Harry Hill was hilarious last night.

Oh, that was genius! I loved the scene in the back of the shop also where they're all at the table and Bernard sits with his back to them. And then when he takes a big bite out of his porcelain cup.  :laff:

I'll be extremely surprised if Only Fools and Horses doesn't win. The ratings of the recent Christmas specials have been massive. I don't think I could begrudge it of the title, but Blackadder is my personal favourite and it would be fantastic if it won.

Well, OFAH won. And I'm kind of disappointed. True, it's still funny (although nowhere near as much as it used to be). And although I voted for YM/YPM, I didn't honestly expect them to win.

But beating Fawlty Towers? That's just criminal.   :(

I dont Like Fawlty Towers It annoys me. I wish I knew more about yes minister but it was before my time.
Armando Iannuci is the best though
"Dont vote for vicar of Dibley It isn't as funny as Father Ted or 'The Passion of the Christ"

J.ross: "Why do you think it lost Armando was it the poltical theme, the more intellegent writing.
Ulrika: "it was you"
Armando: "It could have been me, It could also have been that more people voted for the other sitcoms."

How the hell did Vicar of Dibley get to no.3 It nearly went out at no.6 at one point.
Was Carol Vodermanns only tactic to look pretty in a skirt and argue that it features a woman.

user_names_suck, could you please punctuate your posts, that last one gave me a headache  :hmpf:

OFAH may be funny, but it's kind of predictable for it to win. It would be nice if there were some surprises in these 'Best Whatever' things they keep running.

Damn, I was hoping for either Dads Army or Blackadder to win, how in gods name did vicar of dibley (notice the lack of capitals..) get to number three, its crap.

I wasn't surprised OFAH won the contest in the end though, it is good but its later episodes just got to sentimental for my liking, I prefered the ones with Grandad in.
But Dads Army and Fawlty Towers coming in at fifth and sixth?  We must have a nation of Friends lovers or something, what with all these bland politically correct sit-coms constantly being aired on both channels (ITV and BBC) no wonder the best got shit votes.

On a slightly different note, I did enjoy it when the bloke who was supporting Yes, minister was moaning about the rubbish in sit-coms on TV these days, what with his line :
"I'm a suicide bomber, get me in there"
That shut the audience up... :laff:

I'm not very surprised that OFAH won. I do like the show, but the BBC repeat it too much.

Did anyone see 2DTV last night? It was good  :) I liked the part with The Matrix and Bill Gates ...

Stupid poll.

It was rigged I tells ya!

Why didn't Father Ted or Monty python get into the top 10?!

And why didn't Black Books get in at all. (I've just bought Black Books 2 on dvd. Very funny  :D)

But I'm not surprised that stupid OFAH won.

Because democracy doesn't work!  The shows that did the best are by and large the shows that get repeated the most, so they're fresher in people's minds.
