Anyone else like this show?

I bagged the first season after seeing Tracy Morgan on Conan when we went to the taping, and it's definately a grower.  I'm really liking this.

2nd season starts soon in the US, and the first season will air on channel five in the UK soon too.

I'm pretty sure the only reason I started watching this was that they put it on the same night as Scrubs.  I'm glad that they did, because it's pretty good.  I think it's a lot better than Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip anyway.

I can't stand Alec Baldwin in real life, but I find him funny on this show, despite the fact that he basically plays himself.  The rest of the cast is funny as well.

Agreed, especially on the Baldwin factor.  Can't stand the guy, but he's great in this.  Also, a glut of Star Wars references, more than you can shake a stick at.

Studio 60 was cancelled after season one, 30 Rock is renewed.

I love this show, Tina Fey is a brilliant writer. Alec Baldwin is pretty damn funny. In all honesty I think Kenneth and Tracy are my favorites.

Considering it has two odious cast members (in Baldwin and Jane Krakowski), it succeeds in spite of them, and they're great in their roles.

Tracy Morgan is fantastic, and steals the series with all the best lines:

"You know how pissed off I was when U.S. Weekly said that I was on crack? That's racist! I'm not on crack - I'm straight-up mentally ill!"

"Affirmative action was designed to keep women and minorities in competition with each other to distract us while white dudes inject AIDS into our chicken nuggets... That's a metaphore!"

Just got the DVDs of this (imported), some great extras on there too.  Commentaries on a selection of good episodes, Tracey Morgan's commentary on Tracey Does Conan (arguably the best episode) is great.

Tracey Does Conan is fab, even Conan gets some good lines...

"If you all remember the last time he was on, when he trying to stab me in the face!"

"...Aaaand, he's asleep.  But that's fine, because at least he didn't try to murder me."

Counting down to Season Two... Beginning of October.  :D

My mom hates this show, but I occasionally see it between Scrubs and whatever comes before it.  It is pretty funny.  I like Tina Fey too, so that makes it even better.

Season Two kicked off on Thursday, "Seinfeld Vision".  Was a good start to the new season, excellent guest appearance from Jerry Seinfeld, but it was mainly Alec Baldwin's episode.  Not much Tracey in this one, but Kenneth almost stole the episode with his gagging over Seinfeld.  Solid.

EDIT:  Will Arnett returns as Devon Banks next week!

Alec Baldwin... odious? Denied! I think you meant to say "totally awesome in every way." Both in real life and on 30 Rock.

Some of Jack's best moments:

Jack: ....I have other things on my plate. You hear about that chemical factory explosion outside of Colorado Springs?
Liz: No.
Jack: Good.
----
Liz: Well it was nice of you to let him (Kenneth) keep his job.
Jack: The Italians have a saying, Lemon. 'Keep your friends close and your enemies closer'. And although they've never won a war or mass-produced a decent car, in this area they are correct. In five years we'll all either be working for him... or be dead by his hand.

Just seen the end of Season 2.  Great, enjoyed it.  Seeing Will Arnett return for the end of season was fab.  Especially because I've been watching lots of AD recently.

It's awesome whenever Will Arnett shows up. Then again, it's usually awesome all the time anyway. But, I dunno, I was a little disappointed by the ending of Season 2, mainly because Season 1's ending kicked so much ass. It just felt too rushed (which it was - they lost a few episodes due to the writers' strike). Still, loved Jack's storyline. Cooter was hilarious.

Tracy continues to steal every scene he's in, though.  :D

Finally watched the pre-air copy of the 1st episode.  Was good to see it carry on where it left off from season 2.  Been waiting for this for a while. :D

I totally saw the "this is your son" thing coming at the end. And personally, I would have hung out with Liz in high school. She might have been hurtful but hey it was funny.

I've been using the line

"I want to go to there" for days, and I loved how Liz said "seriously, you were going to Carrie me"

also "I'm so mad all I can do is dance"

I actually found that line to be a little too forced and unbelievable. Which is sad, cause it should be funny.
