Wouldn't it make more sense to make one that Speed Racer fans would like? People who aren't fans of the original probably wouldn't care either way. Christina Ricci as Trixie? I can dig it. Meh. I still have a hard time not seeing her as the twelve-year-old who played Wednesday Adams. That's okay though; I don't think that Trixie was ever really meant to be sexy. Actually, I don't really have a problem with any of the casting decisions, except for casting Dammit Janet as Speed's mom. Seeing John Goodman as Pops Racer was the only part of the trailer that made me not want to punch them.

I love how Marvel's working right now: introducing characters then moving them into a crossover movie, as opposed to DC's let's-not-use-Chrtian-Bale-and-what's-his-name-that-played-Superman-in-the-JLA-movie schema. Marvel plans to launch its 2010 film slate with the release of the sequel, Iron Man 2, on April 30, 2010, followed by the launch of Thor on June 4, 2010. Additionally, Marvel is planting its feature film stakes for summer 2011 with an Avengers-themed summer - a two-picture project which will debut on May 6, 2011 with The First Avenger: Captain America (working title), followed by The Avengers in July 2011.

I was never a fan of the show, and I think the movie looks seven shades of lame. Lame like everything else starring a kid who isn't Short-Round from Temple of Doom.

While DC seem to be failing on so many levels with their (lack of) crossovers, Marvel are jumping in instead. Beginning with Captain Americas shield appearing on Tony Starks workbench and Nick Fury showing up at the end of Iron Man, I think the plan is for Nick Fury, Captain America and Thor movies being released before the eventual Avenger Initiative movie. Tony Stark apparently also appears in the new Hulk movie too. So here's a short of Spider-man, Iron Man and Hulk beating up some giant robots.YOUR MOVE DC! GET BALE AND ROUTH TOGETHER BEFORE 2015 pls!!
