I have to agree with Ralph. Talledega Nights was weak, yo! And I loved Anchor Man...even the 7-hour long DVD version. Heck, especially the 7-hour long DVD version!

This review is kind of late.  Oh well.

Happy Feet

I'm really glad I didn't pay money to see this movie.  What an attrocity.  I might have been able to live with the blatant political message and the not-so-subtle slap in the face of religion (even if I don't consider myself particularly religious; or political), but the story was jarbled, at best, and the characters were nearly impossible to care for, being as flat as they were.  The voice acting was bland: unsurprising, given the sheer amount of movie star VAs, but still painful.

Dancing penguins is, perhaps, the worst concept they could have utilized.  Mary Poppins only pulled it off because the "unrealistic" animation gave the penguins more fluidity and motion: by trying to make these guys as realistic as possible, you're forcing the animators to work with a creature that's really too stiff and slow to dance in an energizing fashion.  Every musical number in this movie came out looking awkward, IMO.

I am amazed that this won an Oscar, let alone that it beat Cars and Monster House for it.  It's one of the most nonsensical movies I've seen in a long time.

hostel 2 was a piece of shit that, instead of cleverness or substance, just threw a lot of gore and shit in your face like the last movie. at least me and my friends had fun making fun of it. eli roth will never make anything good in his entire life, except maybe cabin fever.

Norbit

I was amazed how good this movie was. I thought it was going to be a horrible, over-hyped movie, but it was actually very good. It was very funny, had a well-formulated plotline, and nice directing. The one great thing with the movie was it made me care for Norbit and be sad for his situation. Plus, it was very, very funny.

I'll give this a B. Although that's the same as Spider-man 3, I have to say that Norbit was better.

I'd rather watch Hostel thirty six times than watch Cabin Fever once. The original Hostel was actually pretty good, I don't see why no one liked it.

Hmmmm, the Silver Surfer gets feck all screen time in his new film... (seriously though that's the only real reason people will go see it, unless it was Fantastic 4: Invisible Girl X-Rated)

I read the main fight sequence is between the F4 and a:

i didn't like cabin fever much either, but i didn't like hostel because it's the latest in a line of movies (ie. this, hostel 2, and all saw movies except the first one) that instead of scaring you, just disgust you. can't remember the last time i was really scared in a recent horror flick.

Short round-up of movies I've recently seen...
Ocean's 13: Best movie I've seen this summer thus far. A

Ghost Rider: It had some good moments, wasn't great. Cage was meh. C+

Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer: I thought this would majorly suck. It didn't. I got sick of Jessica Alba, but the Surfer was pretty good.

Just seen TRANSFORMERS today, have to give it a A-.

It was quite surprising being an M. Bay film and all. The characters were alright including the Transformers, although I feel like the transformers didn't get enough verbal screen time especially for the deceptacons.
I was not expecting anything fantastic but was pleased to of gotten my moneys worth "my opinion", there were a good amount of laughs from audience and myself, and I did not catch myself yawning or sighing, so good sign there aswell.

Would have to say Frenzy was my fav, insane little guy and great addition.

Go see if you like big action movies or if you want to see your fav robotic superheroes in the "flesh" on the big screen.

Today I went to see Shrek 3 and I love the babies!! They are so cute. I want to babysit them and play with them. Puss and Donkey are my faves and I like their song during the end credit. Have to wait for a long time for them to make Shrek 4.

I do think the whole Shrek series is overrated.

Transformers was a very good movie the best new movie I have seen this year, and I don't care about if its a M. Bay movie.
There is many ref. to the G1 and G1 movie in this movie.

Also, did they really do that to Die Hard 4? I thought it was just rumored, or possible, but it actually is PG13?

Live Free Or Die Hard

This movie is the definiton of awesome. I don't care if it's PG-13 or if Bruce Willis can't say "Yippie-kye-aye motherfucker!". The action scences in this movie were on par with the original Die Hard but without constant blood splatter. The action was hyper-realistic but 300 was hyper-realistic and everyone was jerking off to it.

Fucking awesome.

Ratatouille

If you skip Die Hard for this, you're still manly. This movie's the best Pixar film since Monsters, Inc. or Finding Nemo. Seriously. It's definitely one of the best movies of the summer, along with Ocean's 13. Once again, seriously.

Pirates Of The Caribbean: At Worlds End
Entertaining, a few moments I forgot what was going on and who was betraying who, but it was fine.

I laughed most at Blooms inability to not move part of his face when the camera is on him for a reaction shot, just watch his eyebrows!

I agree with most of the reviews I've read. The first 2/3 of the movie = awesome, then it goes downhill once Pinbacker is introduced. But I choose to believe that God actually did talk to him. That makes it a bit more bearable.

Transformers

I was never up on Transformers, it was slightly before my time. But the movie was hot, son. Shia Labeouf did a great acting job, was funny but didn't force it.  Got to give the director credit, for a second it almost seemed real.

Nice young eye candy and the usual Micheal Bay action scenes.

Freddy Got Fingered

Okay, first off. Dude, what the fuck? and I say that in a confused way, not an angry way. God help me, I actually find Tom Greens horrible freakish and desperate attempts to get a chuckle amusing.

This movie is pretty bad. How bad? It won most of the 2001 Razzle Awards. Tom Green enjoys the fact it is a terrible movie and has no regrets. It is that bad.

Yet, Tom Green and Rip Torn, two of the possibly weirdest most unlikeable father and sun duos amuse me in their surreal fucked up relationship in this movie.

I admit I laughed at some points in the movie, followed by the 'god help me' cringe. All you can do is go Ha! and cringe a little as Tom Greens character parades about wearing a bloody Moose skin.

I admit some bits of this movie is wrong. The disturbing amount of 'hilarious' child abuse bits. If they removed the little kid that lived next door getting hit in the fact by car doors/bottles/sharp objects, dropped the whole alleged molestation of the grown up little brother and toned down the bits where Tom Green fucks about, as well as drop all the animal genitals, this movie would be a mediocre chuckle fest worth renting at best.

Oh god forgive me at chuckling at Tom Green spazzing about, jerking off a horse and playing his electric keyboard while eating sausages attached to a series of strings with bacon tied to his ears. I'm a lonely sad man.

but a bonus:
WTF!lol Award.

TRANSFORMERS
Saw it last night, and it was as good as I expected.
I have been waiting since august for this movie to come out, and it didn't disappoint at all.
I even made a t shirt that says "I <3 Megatron". Cause he was my favorite character in the original series. After seeing the movie though, I think Bumblebee is my new favorite.
Micheal Bay did an amazing job with the action sequences, and everything else.
The chick who played Mikaela is a terrible actress I must say. But she's still sexy.

Once Upon a Time in America

Like whoa, that was long (so long I thought I had it downloaded in a 1.14GB file but it was only the first half, so I had to wait to get the rest, yarrr!)
Pretty damn epic, and excellent and I liked the ending. Although I'll have to watch it again (it's reeeaaally long) to get what exactly went on

^^^ Oh MrBlonde how little you know.

Anyway: Transformers

Is it lame that me and my friend only saw this for Shia Labeouf? Neh...we are of the silly teenage species.

Regardless, it was either this or Live Free or Die Hard, we had to pick one because both movies are extremely long. It didn't matter we want to see both anyway. I love me some Die Hard!

Ahem, anyway Transformers the one I did see, pretty damn impressive. The government parts always lagged on but it was great action wise. I love the crackhead chihuaua.

I'm not gonna lie, I got ancy at parts and was bored easily. But its not like I was living out a childhood fantsy of mine. I just wanted to be amused for 2 1/2 hours.

Spacedal11, I haven't heard from you in a while.  How have you been?

I totally agree with the grade you gave for Transformers.  I personally fine Shia Labeouf to be annoying, since he was in I, Robot, but even I found him to be funny in this movie.

I really loved this movie, and I'm not a big fan of the old Transformers cartoons.  Call me crazy, I was more of a Gobots fan.  The army base attack scene reminded me a little of the Terminator future war scenes. Regardless of that, I thought this movie was one of the best action movies I've seen.
