Snipe.

The Pip episode wasn't that bad.  It redeemed itself in the end by straying as far as it did from Great Expectations.

When I saw this week's plot, I groaned/laughed. I'd actually gotten to like Garrison as a woman. The idea of him changing his mind yet again IS funny, but seriously, Matt and Trey can't commit to any of the changes they've attempted to make to the show. Don't do them if you're not going to stick with them.

Oh well, at least we know that, being a Garrison-centric episode, it'll be funny, anyway. I really hope he doesn't end up going back to being a man, though. That'd be weak.

I'm much more looking forward to Cartman working with inner-city kids, partly because I'm sick of Garrison at this point and partly because Cartman + inner-city kids can only = hilarity.

Eek, a Penis!

Man, that sucked. Did Matt and Trey forget what structure and humour are? Apart from the premiere, Season 12's been a major disappointment for me so far.

It's cheap but I thought having a penis run around town was hysterical. Plus Garrison being a dude again is fantastic.

The Cartman plot got boring and repetitive. Episode wasn't horrible but not all that great either.

This is by far the worst season of South Park so far, and after they ended last season so strongly.

I liked the episode, it felt like one of the older ones. I don't know why everyone here thought it sucked. It was one of the better episodes this season.

The idea of a penis running around is funny, but it was poorly executed.

"How do I get through these kids!"

Heh the ep was funny I think. Garrsion chasing his penis was funny even the singing moment with the mouse and the penis.

Is Cartman and the inercity kids spoofing that film with Michelle Pfeiffer?

Nah, it was Stand and Deliver.

I liked this episode. Mexican Cartman is all kinds of awesome. You're all just racist!

I think with certain series' when they go downhill episodes in the classic era's originally percieved as awful now become a lot more tolerable. Particularly with the Simpsons which I've given up on new episodes in the last few years, when rewatching a season 10 or 11 episode it isn't as bad now.

I agree with you, because I feel the same way about some episodes from the Scully years, (The Tennis one, and Kill the Gator and Run will always be terrible), but the thing that gets me is that the second half of last season was so strong. I'm totally flabbergasted. I liked Major Boobage, and the Aids episode, but the other three have been so mehish.

I actually liked this past episode.  The whole Stand and Deliver parody was true South Park--make the wrong thing the norm--making cheating the right thing.  The Mr. Garrison thing was funny, though the "penis" joke got a little old.  I did like the "American Tail" reference with the singing.  I just hope we don't see Mr. Hat come back, even though he was funny, I think that then South Park would be too repetitve.

The notion of repetition in SP doesn't bother me(lets not forget how much better it was when Garrison was brought back as the boys' teacher). I just don't want brilliant characters to be brought back and tainted by the state of the show.

I thought it was on the higher end for the season. I laughed a couple of times.

Mostly, though, I loved how they remembered that Stan has a sister.

OK episode better than the Britney and Garrison penis ep anyway. Seeing Randy covered in his own jizz reminded me of the wank I had just after i went on a 4 day wanking strike back when Futurama originally got canned.

At that point, part of me was hoping the entire episode would follow that course.

1207 - Super Fun Time
Airdate: 2008-04-23
Mr. Garrison takes the fourth grade class on an educational field trip to a Pioneer Village where dedicated workers remain in character as their counterparts from the 1800's. Cartman forces Butters to ditch the fanatical townsfolk to go to the amusement center located next door. While the rest of kids are reluctantly learning about the good old days in Colorado, a group of trigger-happy thieves break into the museum and take everyone hostage.

Looks promising, I'm always a fan of the Cartman and Butters episodes

I actually thought it was pretty funny, despite the one-again overly dramatic situation. I loved more kid-based stuff.

Still a fairly mediocre run overall though. Only two episodes I really liked; this one and Major Boobage.
