Late-night host Conan O'Brien will likely switch networks when his contract with NBC ends this September. Reason is that FOX is likely to buy the show come that month! Conan will also get an earlier time slot than the one he has now.

I don't know if I'll like Conan coming on at an earlier time. It will clash with Jay Leno.

Saweeeeeet! ALthough i bet fox will just gay it over like every other show, and it will get cancelled

If that doesn't happen, i'll be able to watch it every day(i don't enjoy staying up til 12:30-1:30 on school nites), and i will gladly watch it instead of Jay, because he's a repetitive(sp), high-pitched, old bastard.   :)

But Harold Schmidt steals all his bits from american talkshows, that bastard.

This is surprising news. I figured Conan would wait for Letterman to retire, and then try to get the Late Show(snubbing Kilborn, and starting a second "Late Shift" behind-the-scenes drama type thing).

FOX is really into the Late Night crew now. I just saw a commercial for some Andy Richter sitcom. I wonder if that'll be any good.

harald schmidt does not steal the stuff from american shows. the concept was taken from letterman, i agree, but the rest is rather unique.
he does things american talkmasters would get kicked out of the program for. like making fun of the american attack on afghanistan. or sending a whole episode without a single picture and only sound. and loads of other stuff.

I wanted to add this disclaimer to my post, but unfortunately I forgot:

I'm talking out my ass here. I've never seen a single episode of his show.

This would be a problem if Jay was funny. But since he never will be, I'll be watching Conan.

I like Leno.  It was better in the days when they embarassed/killed Edd Hall.

I'm a Daily Show man myself.  Jon Stewart has more juice than Conan!

The Daily Show is pretty good, but some of us have parents who don't believe in cable.  I mean they know that it exists, they just don't want it in their house even though the wire is still hot from the last owners.
