I stopped watching this show. Not even the lovely Veronica Mars could keep me interested. I didn't miss her having gay sex or anything, did I?

Her and Claire get friendly in one episode, but you have to let your imagination do the rest.

Stupid Hollywood.

I think they're going straight into chapter four, so that wasn't really a finale.

Right?

I thought it wasn't coming back until after new years, but I may be wrong. I'm too lazy to confirm with a google search.

Crap. That wasn't really promo'd as the finale much... I totally didn't know that was coming up.

Seconded on Faze's comment. I'm ready for some more Lost already, damnit. It's almost been a year since I watched that ep with Chay in Melbourne (good times!) - I'm totally have future Lost nights from now on... providing they start airing it frickin' soon. How much longer!?

So, what's up with Peter's powers?  Is he like Rogue now, or what?

Also, I think we all knew what Hiro's password would be, but Ando didn't even think to try "Charlie" before guessing the correct one?  *sigh*

Ahh that's better.

Hopefully this season will improve on the last two train wrecks of story arcs. Although I was most diappointed we did not see more of President Worf in this episode.

Also it is good they have scaled back some of the characters powers. As they should of learned from many of the 90's comics, an over powered hero does not always make for a compelling story. That said Peter's new ablilty does not seem very well defined yet, does seem to be Rogue like with out her side effect of sucking the persons life.

I really hope they do not disappoint me again.

To be fair, that wouldn't be difficult. Stupid "The Eclipse".

And I kinda like the change to Peter's power - provided they use it as somewhere to develop from. The biggest problem with his power in Volume 2 and Volume 3 is while other characters were developing their powers nicely, Peter basically started out overwhelmingly powerful (while simultaneously making the others redundant) and the only way they could keep him from making entire storylines redundant was to amnesia/body-swap/idiotize him. Of course, now they might have the problem that they've "over-nerfed" him, so to speak, as he's now almost as redundant as when we thought his mimicry was confined to when he was in the mimicee's presence.

Of course, given the precedent of Volume 3, they'll probably never explain it and just expect us to accept it as a given rather than a logical evolution...

Second. [/Scruffy] Noticed some new people on the plane, should be promising for that much. Hopefully some of the heroes will be dead from the crash. Too bad Claire can't die from a measly plane crash...

Okay what is up with people changing powers? I just don't follow..

Ha! Claire's dad flying the plane. Also, surprise! He's a baddy again!

Yep I noticed the new brunette chick who was uncovered in the back of the plane. But then also noticed the random person in orange still covered fly out of the hole haha How Lost of you! I really thought the new girl was going to fly out then haha

Can Peter still fly? How does he somehow have blondie's freeze abilities now? How can they swap? What exactly does Mohinder do - He somehow "gave" Peter a power...? And so I assume actually that Peter had NO abilities at the start - that's why he was so mopey with the paramedic job etc...?

"Cover her hands"
Me: "AND FLASH HER BUTT!"
Hehe.

I thought that was going to happen. In REAL life, that probably would've happened... actually even when she was flipping around, I'm pretty sure that dressing gown would/could have come undone. Add that one to the library, Faze ;)

I'm sure the calvary is saddling up as we speak.

I like the direction they've taken things so far these last two episodes, it's like they're trying to fix everything that had been causing them to write themselves into corners. Stuff like time travel, and Peter having infinite powers.

They went after a guy who can breath underwater?  You know, Nathan's sudden desire to round up all the supers because they're dangerous would make a lot more sense if he was only going after people whose powers were actually dangerous.

Sylar's sidekick continues to be annoying.  Can we just skip ahead to the part where Sylar kills him?

As usual, Hiro and Ando are the most entertaining part of the show.  What was he going to do with that loaf of bread?  :p

Well, it's obvious what he was doing with it: Hiro is Jean Valjean!

Finally, they're rounding up the Justice League with Aquaman!

Sylar's sidekick is actually pretty refreshing. At least he's not hauling around one of the heroes who are like "OMG woe is me, woe is me!" and "You'll never get away with this, Sylar. Nevah!"

Nathan did say at the start of the episode that not all of the people that they're hunting are dangerous, "some are just scared".

Didn't Sylar have Parkman's ability to read minds at one stage? What happened to that, hey hey? Yeah I forget.

I do like how newbie annoys Sylar so much and he can't do anything about it heh

Then why hunt them?  Or do you think there's more to Nathan's plan than lock up all the dangerous people with dangerous powers so that they won't be a danger anymore?

Quote

Um, no.  The only way Sylar can gain other people's powers is by killing them.  If someone is still alive, that's a pretty good indication that Sylar doesn't have that person's power.

Claire is an exception, of course.

hmmm I'm not exactly sure why... but I think it's because they're deemed "different" and are unpredictable... and the fear that the wrong people might abuse their powers.. etcetc..

Oh right.. Kinda lost track of whose powers he "aquired" along the way when he had just about everyone's at one stage.

I'm sure though at some point someone else, in addition to Parkman, had that ability..

Is it better?  That's hard to say.

They seem to have dropped the "lets turn Sylar into a good guy" plotline that they were headed towards, so that's a good thing.  On the other hand, they got rid of the lovely Miss Kristen Bell in the process.  Her absence does not make the show better.

They also seem to have done away with time travel storylines, but those were only bad when they involved Peter.  The ones with Hiro were some of the best parts of the show.

Also, I really liked it when they had Hiro and Ando teamed up with Matt and Daphne, but they had to go and screw that up.  We'll see how it goes.

Despite my complaints, I keep coming back every week, because it's still the best thing on TV now.

That was a really good episode. A bit of flashbacks thanks to Parkman's brain digging really filled in some history lines regarding Noah and this new project. I like it. Episodes are definitely getting better!
