Ok, when The Simpsons dies, if you had the chance to write a spin off focusing on any characters of you choise who would you choose?

I would make an Itchy & Scratchy spin off which would include plenty of hilarious violence and would show them in a new light. They would partake in new situations which could be more developed given more time and focus. It would be a 15 cert :laff:and there would be some cameos and references to The Simpsons such as Poochie :)

As much as I like Itchy and Scratchy I don't think they could sustain full length episodes, I guess they could have shorter episodes within another show. It would be improved if it were a bit more violent  :evillaugh:

I would want a member of The Simpsons to be involved in a spinoff. Like Bart, Lisa, or Grampa.

A Kang & Kodos spinoff would end up being too heavy on the scifi parody, making it too much like Futurama. I guess it could work, but I would rather go with the live action Krusty spinoff that they were talking about way back when.

Springy

A bright young lawyer, who is a year out of law school and steadily building her reputation as a tough, no-nonsense defense attorney in the weathered courtrooms of Springfield. She owns her own firm — often representing repeat offenders — and finds herself in a world unto itself. It appears that the judges, witnesses, lawyers, cops, and even the perpetrators are not immune to the exhausting grind of the criminal justice system.

Don't remind me of that Rach, last time that was on, I switched off, I remembered how much I hated it the first time I saw it, it is easily the part of the Simpsons I liked the least  :(

Aaahr, thar be whales here.

Follow the daily life of drunken boat captain, and unlucky restaurant owner, Captain McCallister. His mad plays with the costums authorities during smuggle runs, his whalehunts on 2 sixpacks of malt liquor, his battles with longtime employee "Bottomless Pete", it's all there. Coming this fall on FOX.

I actually found the lovematic grandpa amusing, just because they were taking the piss out of moronic sitcoms with canned laughter and so on. What really got me was when the simpsons did the 'smile time variety hour' I know that it was supposed to be funny, and that they were just making fun of the brady bunch, but it still drove me to hate, and then I realised that I was supposed to hate it, but still recognise that it was a take off... Ugh, it's so confusing.

Lovematic Grampa at least had a great theme song. I liked the variety show too, but yeah, the whole "intentionally unfunny" type of comedy is hard to take in large doses.

Aha! It was seven minutes, you fool! Plus it came on right after Lovematic Grampa, another "intentionally unfunny" thing. So that's like 14-15 minutes of intentional unfunniness. And don't get me wrong, I still thought it was good. I'm just saying I understand how someone wouldn't like it.

If you do the unfunniness gag too often, it becomes just as lame as "That's My Bush".

Moe's bar would be a great setting for a spinoff... or the life and times of Bee Guy... but since it's already kind of a running gag in the show, how about something like "Everyone Loves Lenny"?

The Trials and Tribulations of Apu

Apu struggles to maintain his job as a Kwik-e-Mart manager all the while being tossed back and forth in other tasks such as being a father of 8. Homer will still appear from time to time when he makes purchases. And Sanjay will get a supporting role as he helps Apu out of so many messes.
