Hey, remember that IMPS: The Relentless Fanfilm? Chapter 2 is out in november.

Here is the trailer. CGI AT-AT!

Yeap.. it was about time..

Im astonished about the quality of the sets.. they reproduced not only the cockpit of the drop barge , but the cockpit and interior of the AT-AT.. and they do quite nicely and convincing.  Even George Lucas would  recur to CGI for that today!

Oh .. and it was a fangasm when they called for artillery support to that Imperial-II class Star Destroyer and you see it rolling about to face the main guns to the planet and the batteries one by one moving into firing position

Ah, that's brilliant - never seen either Chapter before but I'm glad I have now. What a bloody excellent series!
Genuine laugh-out-loud moments too.

Another thing I really enjoyed is that, looking at the script, the "British" officer in charge of Armour 18 is called Lieutenant Sebastian. A reference to Eddie Izzard perhaps? :D

Fortunatelly for you , you saw them together.. most of us had to wait 5 years to see the second part..

they said many years ago (like 3) that eps 2 and 3 were almost finished and that they intended to release them almost simultaneously , so maybe we are lucky and have not to wait another 5 years to see part 3.
Part 4 has been filmed , at least partly , since there are production shots of part 4 in facebook.

I've seen that posted like three times in the SA forums too as well as once here and in the YouTube vid thread.

Anywho, I'm hoping we see another installment of IMPS in a few months time!

a tv show that followed a platoon of stormtroopers in a band of brothers-esque style would be the best star wars thing ever. just throwing that out there.

Yeah, we could watch them miss every thing they shoot at, and then in the last episode they could all get killed by a bunch of Ewoks or something.

Actually, there are some episodes of that Clone Wars cartoon that are pretty much what you're asking for, except with clone troopers instead of stormtroopers.

Well stormtroopers acording to Lucas are mostly clones (*), only that by the civil war the Empire uses a lot more templates to clone instead only Jango Fett .. there are still some pure "humans" among stormtrooper divisions , but mostly clones..

fighter pilots, well i dont know.. the wiki only mentions pure humans, surelly there are clones as well but in much less proportion , one source said that the empire TIE fleet was over 7 million, but again its a big Galaxy

(*)-Other of the things Lucas "revealed" was that the construction workers behind both Death Stars were mostly Geonosians.... almost mindless and not slaves..  i guess that he is trying to "soft" the killing by stating that most DS victims were altered clones with no desires for themselves and mindless hives of bees?

During the inter-trilogy period, the Empire began phasing out clonetroopers and started taking on more human recruits. By the time of A New Hope there would've been a substantial sector of the stormtroopers that were humans, and even moreso in Return of the Jedi.

And just because they were clones doesn't mean they don't have desires or are mindless hives of bees. Look at Boba Fett. I wouldn't exactly call him a mindless drone without desires.

Boba Fett was quite specifically mentioned in "attack of the clones" to be an unaltered clone, without the mental conditioning to obey and without the acelerated grow.. just a clone, like a son..  it was quite clearly specified that clones were modified to grow faster and obey blindly orders without fear.. that dist a lot from a normal human being, because they are "expendable" .. and besides.. Kamino was not the only cloning system... aparently Palpatine used other methods, including the E.U "sparti" metod, wich was the faster , developing an adult clone in 2 years.. problem was that the faster, the more risk of unstable.

Im not confortable with that idea too.. but Lucas aparently think in stormtroopers as mostly clones , he made Jango Fett smash his head against the door in AOTC to point that the stormtrooper that smashes his head against a door in A new hope was a clone..
