Ah, those were the days. I remember having a massive toy of a T-16 Skyhopper too as a kid. Which I stuck my Yoda figuire hilariously enough.

I wonder what happened to my scale models of all the Alliances Fighters :*(.

I used to have a bunch of Star Wars toys. Little vehicles with tiny people in them.

I think they were called "Action Fleet". I kept them on a shelf for a couple of years, then the shelf was "taken down" in an "incident". All the models were put away somewhere. I wonder if I've still gt them anywhere?

Those were awesome. I had quite a few of those, all the Alliance fighters and most of the Imperial ones.

Okay, watching Bring Back Star Wars on E4. Awesome.

Man, everyone but Mark Hamil and Harrison Ford did it for free and without any fuss. Hilarious that the heroes actors are such pricks IRL :/.

EDIT: And fuck you Lucas, for ruining Prowses career for no reason whatsoever.
EDIT 2: Warrick has an awesome sense of humour.

When I think of TIE Bombers, I think of the X-Wing books, and the Alliance slang for TIE variants.

Eyeballs - Fighters
Squints - Interceptors
Dupes - Bombers
Clutches - Defenders

So I basically read Nix's post as though he's saying Dupes instead of TIE Bombers. And Dupes could mean stupid people. So it's more of a meta-statement about Nix that works on many levels.

I'm rambling again. Bugger. I keep meaning to stop doing that.

Lego Death Star is fully armed and operational, in the Death Star II definition of operational, it fires but it doesn't have a roof or toilets yet, lol.

*puts on Nerd glasses* aaaaaaaaaaaaactually, Tie Defenders and Clutches  are two seperate types of starfighter. Clutches are a type of Ugly, and have got pointy solar panels strethching out in front of it, whereas Tie Defenders have got those wacky revesre articulating panels happening. Defender's are refered to as Trips.

Tie Advanced are Brights. Woot.

You know what'd be awesome? If one day those Stormtrooper armour costumes were relatively cheap to buy.

The hoodie is sold out. Son of a.

Nurdy is right, though. If realistic Clone Trooper costumes weren't so expensive, I would become a nerdy SW cosplayer. No doubt.

Awesome, It'll be December after the next month which means at some point in hilarious geek festive cheer I'll settle down and watch the Star Wars Holiday Special. As well as listen to the cheesy Star Wars Christmas music on I-Mockery.

I still have , and very proudly , "old" trilogy fighters... they were the good ones.. Naboo N-1 , ETA-2s and Delta-4s, V-Wings.. Torrents..  dont apeal to me anything like the old ones did.
I even bought one month ago an action fleet X-Wing and my first TIE Fighter l/n (eyeball).. i allready had a biig X-Wing model , a Y-Wing with landing gear damage, an A-Wing.. a TIE Interceptor and from the new movies the ARC-170 and the N-1 fighters.. along a mighty Imperator class destroyer wich despite being white i should paint sometime

I love the old trilogy stuff, especially the ships.  All battered, modular and refit more times than the current crew could count.

They also looked pretty damn fierce.

Second. They just looked so much meaner, especially the TIEs.

Also, I just realised the cloned Palpatine bits from the EU comics is totally ripping on the Master from Doctor Who.

Unless those comics came out in the late seventies. Did they?

Back in 1999 (ARRGGGG how old am i.. how fast time pass...I "discovered" Star Wars in 1994 when i was 15.. those 5 years until 1999 were to me like a Century..i had time more than enought to read all novels..play every game, watch movies all over again.. eat every bit of SW.. the 1997 re-launch.. it was all like ages.. now we are 9 years from TPM ..and they seem to me like 2 or 3 years only.. ) .. anyway.. back in 1999 i renember when TPM was released people saying that TPM ships (droid fighters, Naboo N-1s.. the royal cruiser.. etc) were far more advanced than old trilogy ships (wich were 30 years newer) only because they looked more streamlined and "modern"..
Retconing we have that a X-Wing has a hell more reliable design than a Naboo N-1 fighter..is faster.. packs a lot more firepower and shields are much more stronger..along with independant hiperdrive.. one of the few things i liked about the new movies is that all fighters seen need a ring or any add-on to jump to hiperspace..while old trilogy fighters.. all except TIEs are seen jumping to hiperspace alone with no add-on..
my point is.. no matter how "cool" and "modern" a Naboo N-1 or a Jedi starfighter looks.. i take a X-Wing over them anytime.

I wonder if in the upcoming TV live action series we wil see Imperator Destroyers or TIE series fighters.. surelly we will no see X-Wings (they were introduced couple of years before the Battle of Yavin) or A-Wings.. but there is room for Y-Wings or even.. why not dream.. Z-95s

So, the Malevolence superweapon ship... seems to me it would be useless if you just stay away from the friggin side of the bloody thing, overwhelming numbers swarming around and around it avoiding the ion cannon blasting the bejeesus out of it?

Stupid rediculous plot devices.

I think the idea is that it's a "hit and run" surprise attack type ship. It jumps out of hyperspace, shoots an ionic breeze at the star destroyer-looking things, rips it apart with cannons in less than five seconds and then jumps back into hyperspace.

The same was true for the 1st Death Star coming out of hyperspace behind Yavin instead of right in front of Yavin IV.

Well.. Yavin 4 is a gigant gas planet.. from Alderaan to Yavin you can only jump from one direction.. so maybe the planet just was in the other side..

and about simply jumping farther away..maybe they couldnt.. hiperspace in SW universe is very sensitive to gravity wells.. maybe if they wanted to jump in the other side they would had to come out from hiperspace far away and make the way in real space slowly ..
even so.. they jumped only about 15-20m from the base.. actually is pretty good.. they believed themselves unvulnerable to any attack and 15-20m is not enought time to begin any serious evacuation atemp...

Seems now that the KOTOR MMO has been confirmed what is left of SWG's developers have decided to go balls out retarded in attempting to beat the Star Wars Holiday Special in most hilariously retarded thing ever. Got to love SOE in sending me these E-mails in a desperate attempt to get me to re-subscribe. Been getting them for three fricking years now.
