Yeah, why do people think we're uncapable of switching to another station? The FFC doesn't trust us to do that either.

I realize that fact. But it does help in some instances. Case in point, "House, M.D.".

ugh. 10 pm is way too late for Lost. They save that slot for the hardcore shows with sex, cursing, and mature topics that aren't allowed to air earlier (says the FCC)
and Lost is actually a decent "family" show by today's standards because of the wide range of characters that can appeal to a wide range of viewers and while it is exciting and complex, nothing too bad or confusing really happens in any given episode.

Hmm, I'm trying to think if I would like the show as much if I was 10 again, but I can't imagine myself that mature!  :hmpf:

I'd like to know who the youngest PEELers are who watch Lost fanatically, SHOW YOURSELVES, YOU UNDERDEVELOPED RAGAMUFFINS!!

Not you VF, sit down!

I dont agree.  Lost is good because it doesnt get too much into that, its more about the plot and the scary stuff then the "omg whos having sex now" If they did it that way it would be "Lost in the OC"

O rly?

I have never seen any commercials in the Lost epsiodes so far.
I guess you're watching the wrong kind of Lost, you know, the one with commercial breaks. The bad one.  :p

'Scuse me if my computer sucks ass and I can't download jackshit.

One of these days, I'm gonna take it out into a field, and smash it with a baseball bat like in Office Space. Except I'll do it to better music.   :laff:

The name's cool, I'll give you that. But the song itself sucks.

Now back to Lost. Tonight is the clip show, at least that's what I understand it is. There are a lot of shows that are great, but hard to imagine lasting long. I love Lost, but it's pretty sad when the writers are "lost" after 2 seasons.

Clip show?

Or do you mean a recap of previous events?

FYI: A 'clip show' is bascially a new episode, however it consists mostly of scenes from previous episodes. 'clip show' episodes are usually made due a lack of money during in the season.

I think of a clip show, as being an episode that has clips in it. But recap works fine for me too.

I wouldn't be surprised if this clip show for Lost was forced on the show by ABC. Much like how the Simpsons had to deal with clip shows for a while, I think ABC knows people will watch anything Lost and are trying to exploit it.

On the other hand, with the bizarre pacing of this season's airings, I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of people needed a clip show to remind them of what happened a few months ago. All of May will be new episodes.

'unfound' da hell kinda name is that ? nice one
7 pages later and i finally found it. 'unfound' brilliant.

excuse me if you kids have already dicussed this but the whole food by parrachute thing with no one hearing a plane would make me a little sus. i mean you would you eat food that you found and didnt know where it came from or who made it. even if you were homeless and shit and you ate like half a big mac you found in a bin at least you would know that macdonalds made it (and they love the planet and you and there food is of the highest quality) - you would also know that someone else ate the other half and that its prob not poisoness (though debatable) - this stuff they are eaten on the island could be from anyone - anywhere and laced with all kinds of mind altering goodies. its probably why everyone is trippin out and seeing wierd shit all the time - christ, hurley was goin nuts on the stuff, had his own stash and all and he's been trippin pretty hard lately.

or maybe its just me

also - vincent is def evil
evil i say

Yeah, it could be from anyone. I, however, am putting my money on "The Dharma Initiative" being the providers of food. To your other point, i sure as hell wouldn't be eating seemingly perfect pre-packaged foodstuffs if i had been stranded on a random island for nearly 3 months. I'd be sticking to salt water and sand! As for the title? Well, i admit, its not perfect, but it did manage to elude you for 7 pages.

'stick to sand and salt' ? what are you, australian ?
if it was me there id be eating fish and rodents before i touched some wierd ass shit left by some wierd ass corparation in a wierd ass quaranteened area (remember the hatch doors).
maybe the food in the hatch is ok - but the stuff outside hmmmmmm - id have to eating bugs before i touched that.
i mean someone (and it doesnt have to be the dharma dudes - the 'others' could have the same food packages and probably do) could have drugged it up, packaged it up then attached a parrachute to it then dumped it near the campsite. could explain why NO ONE HEARD A PLANE.

take my advice chay - if you ever see a big oversized mouse trap - dont touch the cheese.

Um, you know the plane could have gone by and dropped the food before they got there.  I dont remember them saying "The plane has dropped the food three days ago"  And when they found the body, they didnt say "He was still fleshy"  So its logical to think that the food could have been dropped before the regulars got there.  And if they were already there, well, they didnt notice the big freaking tail land on the other side, who says they would notice this plane.

Also, I think in that situation, you would eat it.  Its safeish to assume that the food is ok because Dharma has set up this huge big thing, I dont think they would suddenly try to kill everyone.  Especially since they sent so much food.  Why send so much if you are trying to kill them?  If the others had tampered with it, there would be some way to notice it, open cans, boxes, or tiny holes from needle injections.  Frankly, by this point, Id eat it and if it killed me, oh well, I wasnt exactly having the time of my life on the island anyways.

um, i kinda got the impression that it was dropped near the campsite cause there was alot of people there grabbin stuff and if that was the case then surely they would have seen it prior to that. also someone was asking if anyone had heard a plane which again gave the impression that it wasnt there before. i could be wrong - like alot of stuff on lost, i really cant explain it. it just seems strange plus the writers appear to put everything in there for a reason. i doubt its poisoness or intended to kill, maybe sedate people or maybe the others are fatening em up to eat.

also - (sorry if im boring people with my stoopid theories) but i just realised that russo (french chick) has been there a long time and seems to only hunt for food. she had mentioned too that the other people she was with got sick but didnt say how they got sick.
and (drum roll please) the 'other' dude in the hatch suddenly decided to stop eating food pretty much the same time as they found the dharma goodies. hmmmmmm.

just cause im a crustacean and not a liquid emporer doesnt mean i cant smell a trap.

If you want to eat sand and salt water or rats, be my guest, just means more 'tainted' food for me.

I see it this way, with the mysterious food, there's only the chance that you could die, but if you eat sand, rats and drink salt water, you know you're going to die. Or you could hunt polar bears and wild boars, but you're probably better off eating sand.

OR The could use him to make glue, and make fly traps which you would then use to catch frogs whose legs would then be used to attract french people (Rousso) who would come along and continue to piss people of with her lame accent untill finally someone would kill themselves, rousso or someone else. They would then use that corpse to attrack the polar bear. Who they would then train to catch fish, whose oil the would extract to lather up kate in her bikini to attract the head 'other' who would take her out to dinner, THEN she would order EVERYTHING on the menu, hide it in her handbag made out of palmleaves and Dharma initiative cereal box, and do a runner when the bill comes. Simple. Flawless. Food for everyone.
