I'm still several weeks behind but I watched the limo episode when it was repeated on BBC Three last night and Clarkson driving his half a Panda around was just, well, Clarkson! And I totally agree that Hammond should have vomited on Tony Blair.

You didn't, it was a joke in the episode that he should puke on him, he never actually almost did

Anyone else watching tonights Polar Special?  It's absolutely brilliant, and it's only half-way through.  Incredible.

I watched that the other day -- funny stuff. I wonder if Hammond made it to the pole. He looked really disappointed when Clarkson phoned him. On a different but similar note, has anyone else read this? Apparently, the obviously fake caravan fire last year was... faked.    I am in absolute utter shock. And to think I was watching that clip online only this morning! Shock...

I saw that. I loved the bit where they were learning to ski. But, has anyone made a fuss about it? They reached the pole in a car before anyone else...

Will get the special ASAP!!!

any word on series 10 yet?
And i loved series 9, alltought it was full of their "challenges" and less car testing, but as Jeremy said , it was innevitable, the challenges were allready filmed and due to Hammond crash and BBC2 the 9 series was a short one..and they had to choose between airing the car tests and airing the challenges, and the challenges were far more expensive so they go ahead.. maybe series 10 will have more car test.. and im hoping they to go back to their epic races again.

Anyway.. the Limo challenge i was ROTFL, it had some of the best phrases in TG  :D
-"Oh no! a patethic roadblock!"
-"Oh no! Terrorist!!"
-"Its an inginius sollution to a problem that should never had existed to begin with"
-"AAAAHHHH -Carpet burns! - How im gonna explain this to my wife"

And loved when in the "build a road in 24h challenge" James threw Jeremy´s speakir in the road planner and after Jeremy threw Jame´s dinner under the planner for retaliation  :D :D :D

My favorate bit was when they were doing Polor training and this stressy special forces guy pushed Clarkson into freezing water.

All special forces come with pixelated face masks for covert operations now we live in the YouTube generation.

What I want to know is, having got to the pole (magnetic north pole might I add, somewhere off the coast of Ellesmere Island I believe, not the real north pole. Cheats. Also they weren't the most northerly people. There are CF stations in Alert and Eureka which are further north and since when does Resolute hold anything like the northerly town record? I've been further north to a place with a supermarket, driving range and school, alas I digress) how did they get home? I can't believe they drove back? Was there a helicopter there to pick them all up?

Hhahahaha!
I watched the Polar special.. it was awesome!
alltought there is a lot of polemic to where dey went.
because it was not the "real" pole (wich is 800m away of their goal) neither the current magnetic pole .. they aparently went for the magnetic pole as it was in 1997 due to a race to that precise point or something..
but anyway a great hour of TG..
loved how they had the Hylux, wich is 4 door and 5 seats, with the back seats full of booze and candy chocolates..  :D :D way to do a trip!.

The training was hilariuos, specialy Hammond learning to Ski and Jeremy being pushed in to freezing water and how he reacter after (hands up your head!, roll in the snow!)

cant wait to series 10 to begin, they say autumm now..

Also:

New series starts on the 7th. Perhaps they might even test some cars this time around. Maybe..

They did say that because Hammond was still recovering after his accident, and they didn't get to film a lot of car reviews, last series.  They should remedy that this time around.

When did the fire happened?

James cooking himself in the Aston was hilarious..i know what is to hop in a horrible hot car without air-con..

And that road trully seemed driving heaven

Me neither... its awesome.. again Jeremy´s "Toybota" was the most sucesfull in the previous Amphibious challenge..

That R8 is pretty good, really seems a sucessor of the NSX, 2 seats, mid engine , confortable and every day ussable

Me neither.... it was amazing..

It was hilarious how they needed 4 days to get out the pier and how James´s car, wich had technically won the original amphibious challenge sank again and again.. and how did he prettend to cross the channel on sail in a non- hidrodynamic hull? He should had employed some outboard engine like Hammond´s "1 million pounds engine" (suppose is the same Jeremy sell him in the original challenge for same account before he went down  :D )

Still amazed how the "Toybota 2" arrived at french..
Funnys:
-James being hit again and again by the mast.
-All sinkings..
-Hammonds "Happy Smoke" in the camper-van
-The Guard Coast plane making "strafes" at they
-The look of horror when Jeremy began reading the challenge "You must drive to Dover and... "
-The SeaCat about to ram Hammond

Back to the show.. that Audi R8 is Amazing!.. i had my reserves, but is trully the succesor of the NSX... it sound like it should , every-day ussable, confortable.. etc..
If i had that much money to spend in a car.. well now i surelly would wait to the Skyline, but the 911 was the option to go.. now its the Audi too (tought the Jag XK is not bad either.. but Audi has a lot more hp and 4WD)
