Why they killed the sheppard in that way.. he was the most mysterious character, why that alliance cruiser gave him asistance so kick only seeing his ID card, why he knew so much, he was going to be a hell good character of plots and they killed him off without any explanation, so now we never will know , i dot like creating an mistery aura for nothing

and it has much gratoitous action, the space secuences had sound,one reason i like firefly was the ausence of sound in space and now we have a revenge of the sith starting battle with all sound effects?

Oh my god, they killed Wash.. -you bastards! , i cant understood that josh wanted to kill someone to destroy that "undestructible" aura that sorrounds main characters in this type of movies, but he had allready killed the sheppard and Wash seems to me like: -oh i have to kill one character off, wich characters are useless in fights so i can get ride of them without compromising the action. Kaylee, mmm, not, i need her to have sex at the end of movie. mmmm, the Doctor, no, he also has to have sex with Kaylee, mmm, Wash... yes Wash

Kong...you all liked Kong?  Tell me there is SOMEONE OUT THERE who hated it as much as me?  Worst movie of 2005 that I saw, I've never been so bored in my life, I can't even begin to explain how much I hated it, and there's no point cos everyone loves it - WHYYYYYYYY!!!!???

Well I loved Serenity as for the points you raised.

Yes I was surprised Wash was killed but I can now see why it was done.

In many ways Wash's story had run it's course, I am sure if the series had of continued then they would have found more conflicts for him but at this point he had settled his difference with teh Captain which seemed to be his major conflict in the series.

Also we he died and then you saw the predicament they were in, it gave the idea (at least to me) that no one was safe and that any of them could die.

- Hustle & Flow
- Constantine
- SinCity
- A Very Long Engagement
- Capote


Here are some movies that I enjoyed:

- Wedding Crashers
- Hitch
- Kung Fu Hustle
- Wallace & Gromit


As for the WORST movies of 2005... I think there were too many to count.

The Longest Yard and The Dukes of Hazard. Just kidding. My favorite was probably Kung Fu Hustle. There wasn't much movies for me this year.

I'm going to try and think of what movies I really liked this year. Of course, a lot of the smaller/independent films I haven't seen yet, so this is by no means a comprehensive list. Just the mainstream films.

Good:

• Batman Begins
• Kung Fu Hustle (was this last year?)
• The 40 Year Old Virgin
• Sin City
• King Kong

Weak:

• Cinderella Man
• Star Wars III
• Chronicles of Narnia

Bad:

• War of the Worlds

I'm torn when coming up with these lists. I generally don't see bad movies, so I can't list them. The only films I see in theaters are ones I expect to like in the first place.

Sin City was the best film of 2005.. though i didn't get to the movies much unfortunately... 

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Corpse Bride were also good.. (so i'm a sucker for tim burton films.. sue me!)..

i also had to sit through such horrors as 'mr and mrs smith' and 'fun with dick and jane' god i wish my mother had better taste in films.. gah..
